- We need some more time! - 25 March 2025
m. here, and I've come to share some bad news. The content update isn't ready in time for the date I set in the game (it was supposed to come out today). IRL obligations and work travel has hit me hard this month and I wasn't able to work on the game as much as I planned, so rather than putting out a half baked update, I'm going to settle for a delay. I'm also adding some new features and I just know there is gonna be some bug that'll totally cause computers to explode, so I'm asking for more time. I'm hoping the new update will out next month, which will give me time to polish some rough edges. If you have any questions about the update, feel free to ask below and I'll try my best to answer them. - Future Episode Release Dates and Information - 24 February 2025
Hope you enjoyed the extended prologue of the game! A new wave of episodes for each character will be releasing in late March! After the last update I was sure the game was going to launch in November but due to some internal issues with Steam and some last minute backend things to do it got delayed. I've been quiet about it since then because I didn't want to make another announcement before confirming anything with the utmost certainty, which might have caused some confusion. Things got a bit delayed - however, I'm happy to announce that the game will be officially launching in 2 days, on February the 24th (Monday). I will be working on the game as it goes live for hotfixes and bugs that will appear on launch, and I'll be continuing to update you guys on progress as we go into the first season of - I Just Want to be Single!! - Release Date Announcement! - 8 October 2024
Today I'll be announcing a new direction for the game. While I understand this might be disappointing for some of you or it might not be what you expected or were promised, it was the only path we could take in order to still finish the game in some form. The game will be released in multiple updates. You will still only need to own the one game with no additional downloads or parts, however the game will be released in an non-complete form with the game updating in terms of additional future content. Said content will not require additional purchase, the game still functions as one package/purchase. The reasoning for why we are doing this is because it makes the process much more manageable and lenient than how we were able to operate until now. - The New Demo IS LIVE!! - 10 June 2024
The long awaited overhauled demo with completely revamped prologue is now available to play for free! Go ahead and try it now! You may encounter some bugs but they should be hotfixed within a couple of hours so occasionally restart steam and your game should update. We're working hard to release the full game later this year so look forward to it! And don't forget to wishlist the game!

We have a release date! Well, sorta. We're hoping to do a launch of the full game later this year in Q3, around August. That is, if things go smoothly. A delay or two might happen, or it might now, who knows! But that's our plan for now. In other news, we finally revealed Random Girl! Bask in her pink glory! You may have also noticed a brand new makeover of the steam page. New screenshots, descriptions and more. Lastly, as you may know we've taken down the old demo for a while now. That's because later this year, in June, Steam will be hosting Next Fest and we're going to be there with a brand new playable free demo! You have a lot to look forward to this year!
- NEW CHARACTER? Mika the Gyaru Revealed! - 19 November 2023
We've finally revealed one of our kickstarter's stretch goal characters, and it's Mika the Gyaru! She's a member of the anime and manga club, and she cares a lot about fashion and trends. You can take a more detailed look in our latest Kickstarter update here. We will continue to reveal a new stretch goal character every month for the next several months. Stay tuned!
- Demo Overhaul In-Progress - 2 April 2023
That's right, we're going to be overhauling our demo completely. We've been working really hard in preparation for the full game to integrating improvements and system reworks from all the feedback we've gotten over the past few months since the original demo launch. That means for the time being, the current version of the playable demo will be unavailable. But don't be sad! IJWTBS will be back, more awesome than ever and with cooler features.

- Demo update 1.2 - 19 March 2022
Hey hey! Today I'm adding a couple of minor changes to the demo which are mostly quality of life improvements. Clearer instructions on how the Charging/Intensity mechanic works Better phrasing on some question prompts (The sports club one) A special scene for when you input a secret input in an area. (Yeah, I know, super vague but you should find out yourself what I'm talking about!) That's it for now! I probably won't update the demo again, unless it's for minor optimizations which won't be documented but I'll still be posting updates on progress of the full game! Updated the demo to version 1.1 In this update, I: Optimized performance in parts where it lagged a bit before, so you should be getting a smoother experience. Sections where you need to remember details for a star are more forgiving now (especially the sports one) Fixed a few typos. Dynamic capitalization for lazy people who don't use proper punctuation for their inputs kek (basically the game will correctly capitalize your words for you) Disabled Renpy's default accessibility menu which sometimes gets accidentally shown by pressing the 'A' key.
