- NAIR 5.0.0 - 22 August 2024
NAIR version 5.0.0 adds a new major feature: customizable game modes. Custom Game Modes A new button has been added, under the Discord button on the main menu, allowing you to create custom game rules. Custom game settings are saved as "modes" which can be played through the main menu, like any other mode. All modes are also compatible with online play, and support rollback. Game rules include tweaking the player's movement stats, and toggling new abilities such as airdashing. Game modes are saved as individual JSON files, which can be edited in any standard text editor. This should allow you to set values outside of what the in game editor normally allows. But it's not my fault if something breaks, I warned you! (But also tell me if it does so I can fix it.) This feature is not considered "done"- if there are things you'd like to see added to the customization suite, please let me know…
- NAIR 5th Anniversary Announcements - 1 August 2024

NAIR version 5.0 will be releasing later this month, featuring Custom Game Rules. You'll be able to fully customize the game to your liking! If you're not already in the NAIR discord, feel free to join and let the dev know what stats and abilities you'd like to see included. There's a new trailer up on the store page with a preview of this feature. Additionally, NAIR is going to get bot opponents sometime in the near future. Finally, we'd like to announce the next game in the NAIR universe: GRAB. Please check out the trailer below. In NAIR 4.0.0, NAIR players can go online, get in a lobby hosted by a DAIR player, and play DAIR. (And of course, vice versa.) You don't need to own DAIR to play DAIR if you have NAIR. Sorry, I know that's a mouthful. The cross-game multiplayer compatability is the only added added feature of 4.0.0 DAIR is a new game (available on Steam) featuring a different move, a different stage, and different rules. DAIR releases August 1st.

- NAIR 3.4.3 - 19 January 2023
This patch allows you to select how much input delay you want in an online match. More input delay results in less rollbacks.
- ANNOUNCING DAIR - 15 December 2022
Announcing a new sister game for NAIR, DAIR I originally made NAIR in 2019 to teach platform fighter neutral. DAIR is a completely new experience focused on teaching platform fighter advantage. Look forward to more news soon!
- NAIR 3.4.2 - 17 October 2022
Fixed rollback desyncs in game modes that have double jumps.
- Patch 3.4.1 - 6 October 2022
Bug Fixes: Player 1 can now earn the airdodge achievement. The game won't actually say 3.4.1f1, I didn't feel like updating the version # and breaking online multiplayer over this.
- Patch 3.4.1 - 18 August 2022
Bug Fixes: Every Player & Tag has a Default UI Binding This should make "Reset to Default" fix any messed up UI controls UI (Menu) controls can no longer be rebound. The location that custom controls are saved in has been moved. Loading up this patch will effectively nuke all custom controls, fixing any UI bindings that got mangled last patch. You can now assign the same button to multiple different actions. Enables tap jump. Will no longer unbind UI buttons when trying to rebind A, for example. Various UI/text fixes Added a binding for "unknown controllers" that should improve compatability. Other: Added a button to the rebinding menu that allows you to add a controller without leaving that menu. I haven't worked on fixing gamecube controllers specifically but that is my next task. IIRC they work fine except for the rebinding screen.
- Patch 3.4.0 - CONTROLLER CUSTOMIZATION - 3 August 2022
This update adds controller customization!!! - You can create name tags - You can customize the controls, which are saved per controller & per nametag - The number of officially supported controllers has gone up dramatically - Most gamecube & Switch Pro Controller lag/other issues should be fixed That's it! Short patch notes, but I know a lot of people were waiting for this one. :)

- Patch 3.3.0 - 11 July 2022
Gameplay Changes: Wavedash loses less speed over time 5% speed per frame -> 2% speed/frame Crouch loses less speed while sliding 20%/frame -> 15%/frame Ground speed is retained when you jump This allows you to exceed the maximum air speed of 15 While over the maximum air speed, you will lose speed at a rate of 0.7%/frame Dash, run, and wavedash are all faster than the max air speed, so anything other than neutral jump will give you a faster burst of speed. Wavedashing is fully actionable after frame 3. The list of possible actions that will cancel a wavedash includes crouching, dashing, and jumping. While this list is short, the impact on gameplay will be extremely significant. The new wavedash is an incredibly potent swiss army knife that allows you to move on the ground with a new level of precision, and that lets you launch yourself through the air incredibly fast (and, again, pretty…
