- Version 2.0.3 - 23 September 2024
I removed the Steam Workshop due to very low participation because it was honestly poorly done. If there is ever an SCP: Observer 2 or whatever, I will fix all the “flaws” of the first game, this includes not having full and customizable modding support. Until then, I won't be providing any more updates to this game unless there are some game-breaking bugs. Removed Steam Workshop + modding support Improved controller navigation Switched compilation method to IL2CPP
- Version 2.0.2 - 21 May 2024
Fixed softlock when winning a scenario while watching the security cameras
- Version 2.0.1 - 27 April 2024
Added changeable key binding for exiting cameras (default Q) Fixed a bug that caused cameras to be unusable after the lights-out event in LC
- SCP: Observer Anniversary Update - 25 April 2024
Greetings Survivors, after a long period of inactivity, a new update I've been working on for the past few months is finally ready. This update aims to be a final overhaul of SCP: Observer, reworking most of the things I was unhappy with. Some of the changes include a complete overhaul of the menu user interfaces as well as the modding system. Many of these changes are visual and you won't notice much difference in gameplay. Modded skins, however, now include more advanced parameters such as SCP speed or custom sounds. Cheats and the console have also been improved. Updated cheats can be found in the "Cheats.txt" in the installation folder of SCP: Observer. If you are interested in modding, you can find the instructions here. Following the guide is easier than before, but you still need a very basic understanding of the Unity editor. You can now also play earlier versions of SCP: Observ…
- Version 1.8.4 - 7 December 2023
There was a bug that caused the scenario achievements to only be granted when using cheats and not during normal play. You should receive all missed achievements except "Scenario 8" the next time you access the main menu. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
- Version 1.8.3 - 26 November 2023
There is a Cheats.txt file in the game directory which contains all the cheat commands. Added new console (F1) Added more cheat codes Removed old cheat system Increased SCP-049 A.I. level in Official Scenarios Fixed bug with SCPs getting stuck after killing an NPC Fixed bug with SCP-173 being unable to kill an NPC Fixed bug with getting "Scenario X" achievement when cheating Fixed bug with Aika not having correct animations

Updated modding instructions can be found here. Have fun modding! Added separate SCP: Observer Tools application Fixed some Mod Manager bugs
- Version 1.8.1 - 11 October 2023
I'm currently working on adding more configuration options like sound and speed for skins, but also on new possible mod types. Have fun modding and thanks for playing! Improved modding documentation Fixed some ui issues Mod Manager now shows if Steam was not found
- Version 1.8.0 - Steam Workshop, Endless Mode and QoL Improvements - 10 October 2023
Happy spooky month everyone, SCP: Observer is back with a new update that includes many new additions and improvements. The full list of changes can be found below. Steam Workshop First of all, the Steam Workshop. You can now customize skins for featured SCPs and create your own to share with the community. The original plan was to allow the creation of custom maps and custom SCPs, but unfortunately that will not happen in this update. To download a mod, simply go to the Steam Workshop for SCP: Observer and download anything you like. Then launch the game and select the skins you want in the "Mod Manager". Seriously try the new SCP-096 skin, it is terrifying. To create a custom mod, I recommend you use this GitHub template. If you have problems, the file: Steam/steamapps/common/SCP_Observer/Mods/INSTRUCTIONS.txt has a troubleshooting section at the end. Endless Mode The endless mode can…

- Version 1.7.0 - Performance and balance improvements - 26 June 2023
Greetings survivors, I have some great news to announce. In the past week I have made some performance improvements as well as some balancing changes. As always, you can find the full list of changes below. Before I start, I want to thank everyone who tried the game after seeing the Markiplier video, and everyone else as well. It really means a lot to me. First, I made some performance tweaks that improved performance by 30-50 fps for me. These were mostly some boring project configuration settings that are not worth covering. Secondly, I changed some balancing settings that many people have complained about. The first thing is that SCP-173 is guaranteed to fail on its next 3 movement attempts after looking at him. Before it was 2 and also much more inconsistent. The next thing is that you can now prevent SCP-096 from entering the room by closing the west security door. Believe it or no…

- Version 1.5.0 - Foundation for Steam Workshop implementation - 4 June 2023
Greetings fellow researchers, this is part 1 of this major effort to integrate the Steam Workshop into SCP: Observer. I have spent the last few weeks reworking some key systems to allow for an "easy" implementation of the Steam Workshop in the coming weeks. Since many key systems have been changed, there may be some new bugs that I haven't found yet. If you find a bug I would be very grateful if you could report it. More about the Steam Workshop implementation can be found after the changelist. Full changelist The biggest changes were made in the background, where the player will not notice any difference. Nevertheless, there are still some new interesting changes. Revised the Custom Scenario menu ui Added a difficulty selection to the Custom Scenario Removed hard mode Revised some post processing effects Added a glitch effect to the security camera ui Other minor bugfixes and changes A…
