• Update Notes for Dec 18th - 18 December 2023

  A bug was quashed which caused save games to break under particular circumstances. Unfortunately, these save games will now send you back to the beginning of the Act regardless of how far along they were. But hey, it's still better than being broken!

• Medium at Large Update Now Available! - 15 December 2023

  After 11 months of hard work (and 1 month of playing Zelda), Occult Crime Police: Medium at Large is now available! As part of this MASSIVE FREE UPDATE, you can expect: A brand new novella-length mystery! 55 new character sprites, a dozen new environments, and a smattering of new tunes! A full GUI Glow-Up, back-ported to the first game as well! A new text skipping feature to fly by previously-read text! Dozens of extremely minor technical fixes which literally nobody will notice! Now, to reiterate a couple of things about this update: The engine has gone through a lot of updates in the process of developing Medium at Large, and as a result we can't guarantee that previous save files will still work. • A Couple of Quick PSAs - 13 December 2023

  We're two days out from the release of Medium at Large, so we thought we'd mention a few things to know going in. Save Compatibility Occult Crime Police's engine has gone through a lot of updates in the process of developing Medium at Large, and as a result we can't guarantee that previous save files will still work. You can choose whether or not to roll the bones with your old save file, but you may run in to all sorts of glitches and oddities. Luckily, you don't need a save file to play Medium at Large! Just click "New Game" in the Main Menu, select Case 2, and you're on your way! Text Skipping We've also implemented a text skipping function into the game! Simply hold down the CTRL key to zoom past any dialogue you've already read before. (You can even go in the options and set Text Skipping to "All Text" to be able to skip all dialogue, though you might miss something important!) We'…

  I said it would be out by Fall 2023, and I'm technically not a liar! The next chapter in the Occult Crime Police saga releases December 15th as a massive free update! Boomtown, USA is visited by a spirit medium who claims to be able to solve the case which ruined Sheriff Miranda Warren's life. When a murder occurs just before the seance, will Warren be able to put aside her biases and determine the true culprit? This is a big one, folks! 62,000 words, 55 new character sprites, a dozen new backgrounds, and a fancy new GUI to boot!   Been a while, huh? We promised a sequel, and we didn't want to make ourselves a liar, so here's your first look at Case 2 in the Occult Crime Police series, Medium at Large! Boomtown, USA is visited by a spirit medium who claims to be able to solve the case which ruined Sheriff Miranda Warren's life seven years ago. Everyone in town has a reason to be upset about the upcoming seance, but could someone be upset enough... to kill? (God I hope so, or this is going to be a short case) Relationships will be tested!
