- Coming Demo - 28 March 2022
Work on Hell Mall continues. We are putting our work together and aiming to put a short gameplay demo out this week. Given this isn't something Steam allows, we will likely release this demo on Itch.io. This demo will not include a significant portion of the story, but more focus on gameplay. We wish to get your feedback on the experience to improve onboarding, readability and tweak the balance. It'll have a few bugs, and a more than couple rough seams, but we hope you will be patient with this demo as it will represent an early proof of concept. When we put a demo out we'll put a link to it here, so keep watching this space!
- Progress report and Early Access - 8 February 2022
Hello, this is an update about what we hope to have ready by April 2022. Right now our team is working very hard on Hell Mall. Things are starting to lock in place as we answer important design questions. Keep watching our twitter @PigBlankets and our Instagram pigsinblanketsgames to see more art and progress as it happens. In the early access release we hope to have about 60 items ready, 4 characters and 1 boss. It will introduce players to the world, the characters, the mechanics and story. Because of its roguelike structure the early access build will be endlessly replayable. It may still feature many placeholder assets: sound, music, programmer art, etc. but we will hope for your understanding that this will be a work in progress. We have been very excited about our progress of late, and we hope you too will be impressed when Hell Mall eventually makes itself available!
