- Superfluous Returnz on Nintendo Switch! - 15 January 2024
It is with great pride that I announce the release, today, of the first official port of Superfluous Returnz on console, and not the least: the Nintendo Switch! I have to admit that if someone had told me, as a kid in the 90s playing the Nintendo 64, that one day I'd be releasing a game on the latest Nintendo console... Maybe it's stupid, but I must admit I'm a bit emotional :) For the moment, there's no web page to buy the game from your computer (it'll come, apparently it may take a little time) but you can find it directly in your console's eShop. The port obviously includes the gamepad mode available on other platforms (and the content is the same as on other platforms). Now's the time to convince your friends who only play on Nintendo Switch to enter the fabulous (and slightly absurd, yes) world of Superfluous Returnz! Note: the Nintendo Switch version is available in Europe, Ameri…

- Artbook, Comic Book and Deluxe Edition - 9 November 2023
Superfluous Returnz Artbook I've been working on it for several weeks now, and it's finally finished: the Superfluous Riteurnz Artbook! You'll find every location, every character, every cutscene, every animation detailed frame by frame, and much more. All with my commentary, in English and French! This book is available: in printed version on Lulu and Amazon; as a DLC (with the comic book) for the digital version. Superfluous, the Comic Book This was another job I'd been wanting to do for a long time: translating the French comic book Les aventures inutiles de Superflu into English. The translation is called The Unnecessary Adventures of Superfluous, and you can see it as a sort of “prequel” to the game: how Harpagon Lonion became Superfluous, how Sophie came to work for him, etc. You don't have to read it to understand the game, but it's a nice bonus. This book is available: in printe…

- The game is now available in Italian! - 7 June 2023
I'm proud to announce that Superfluous Returnz is now available in Italian, under the name Superfluo Ritorns! As the game is set in a small French village, I think it's great that it's been translated into another European language, and I hope that players in Italy will appreciate the familiar atmosphere :) A huge thank you to Miranda “Miri” Clarke who spontaneously offered to translate the game, which is no mean feat (over 2300 lines of dialogue, after all).
- Italian translation - 7 June 2023
Dialogs and interface are now available in Italian.
- The game's soundtrack is available - 1 June 2023
You can freely listen to the game's soundtrack on Peertube (and soon on YouTube, the upload is in progress but YouTube has certain limitations so it takes a while). And if you want, you can also buy it as DLC on Steam, in FLAC and MP3 formats. So yes, the album title uses the English version of the title (Superfluous Returnz) and the track titles are in French: why make it simple when you can make it complicated? I liked the idea of keeping the French touch for the titles, while using the “international” name for the soundtrack. Not that it changes much, the music remains the same... Happy listening, and see you soon for new adventures!
- The game now has Steam achievements! - 23 May 2023
Little announcement: there are now Steam achievements in the game! So yes, if you've already played the game, you'll have to play it again to unlock these achievements. I apologize for that, I didn't plan to put any in the first place. Have fun and see you soon for new adventures!
