- New Boss, Laser Head - 18 February 2025
-a quick heads up that all the shops have a button prompt to open them now. If you hit PING or INTERACT (F on the keyboard or Y on the controller) when you are in or near a shop then the shop will open. They don't open on their own when you are close anymore to make them less jarring and unexpected. -the red forest has undergone some seasonal changes ... it was feeling a bit too big and empty so I shrunk it down some and added a bunch more to it like enemies, a cave, and a new boss. -the new boss has a laser head that will hurt you if it gets you. You can check out a bit of the fight here on Bluesky. -the stalker enemy has had a bug fixed so it should be more aggressive, a little more challenging, and a bit more fun now. -bombs now take multiple hits to kill instead of just one. -bats have been added. -small, laser robots had a bug fixed where they wouldn't follow you correctly at the r…
- Added Map Shop and New Armor Accessories - 19 November 2024
-new map shop and map system. Top down maps of certain areas or zones can be purchased now from the Map Shop. Once you purchase a map, you can view it anytime from your world map or galaxy map. Just click the magnifying glass to zoom in to an area, once you've purchased it from a shop. Maps cost ETA time. You'll need to at least have the cost of the map plus 7 minutes (so you don't die right away) in order to purchase a map. Purchased maps will also give you a clue as to where you can find keys, time, and abilities. -new armor set. There is a new armor set that you can find and put on in the Accessories Shop. You can find most of the new armor hidden throughout the city level. You can also add armor set 1 to your character or mix and match between the two armor sets. I'm hoping to add some more armor pieces down the line. Also, one of the new armor pieces is a tail. (I've been playing a…
- New Overworld - 24 August 2024
-added a Mac version of the game to the store. A linux version is available too upon request. -added a new Overworld / Spaceship section. It was actually added in the previous build, but I didn't make a post for that build and it's had some more added to it. It should hopefully be easier to navigate than the over-the-shoulder camera angle that was there before. Hopefully it kind of alludes to what other levels and planets are out there as well, better than the previous overworld layout anyway. If anyone really misses the old spaceship controller I can add it as a mission or level somewhere down the line. -some more UI screens will function better with a controller and more edge cases where the Pause Menu could pop up on a store have been resolved. The UI and controller functionality continues to be a work in progress. It's getting there. -sped up the default attack speed a little bit. -…
- Another Small Patch with some more Bug Fixes - 10 May 2024
-this is mostly just another small patch to fix some bugs in the game. -fixes an issue where auto-save points weren't saving location data for the spaceship overworld. -added some home base level intro cards that correspond to the suit you have on. Most of the cards are still works in progress and should improve over time. -plant bombs have a much wider radius of effect now. -other miscellaneous bug fixes and art additions.
- Small Patch with some Bug Fixes - 13 April 2024
This is just a small patch with some bug fixes. -the bug that caused large levels like the red forest to crash when loading is fixed now. I did a bunch of testing and found the problematic line of code. I also tweaked some other code to prevent loading issues in the future. -I reworked the Pause Menu so it should appear in front of most, if not all, other UI. If you Pause when a shop is open you'll close the shop screen and open the pause menu. -the Controls screen layout has been re-worked too, which should hopefully be easier to navigate and read. -other smaller miscellaneous art and bug fixes Still a ways to go in terms of clearing out most of the bugs, but this patch should help a bunch.
- Added City Planet - 14 March 2024
-there is a new planet with two new levels. An open city scape level and a boss fight in a stadium at night. You can fly to this planet or access it from the Fast Travel shop. -you can now choose to stay in a level or return home after dying. Any upgrades gained that weren't obtained in the Upgrade shop will be lost, but you may still want to stay in a level especially if you already have a number of upgrades. -the compass shows on the player now when pinging to help with navigation and exploration. -grappling works even if you don't have energy now -miscellaneous art and bug fixes In Development -working on a map shop where you can buy top down maps of areas with ETA time. Maps should be accessible from the map menu on the Pause Screen and show where keys and doors are located.
- Added Surfing, Update Notes for 1-18-2024 - 18 January 2024
-added surfing. Surfing is essentially gliding, but when you are on the ground so surfing requires the gliding ability. When you are gliding on the ground, or surfing, you'll go faster, but more energy gets used. Surfing is 2.5 energy per second Gliding is 0.1 energy per second Try pulling up when surfing to start gliding and saving energy, then return to the ground to pick up speed and get some energy back. You can kind of move up and down like a sine wave to keep momentum and energy going. -added edge detection option in Options. It puts outlines on objects past a certain distance. It's kind of like a toon shader. I left it off by default. Do you like it and think it should be ON by default? Let me know in the comments. -added procedural grass option in Options. Turns the procedural grass OFF. Helps with optimization and performance on slower devices. At the moment you need to reload…

- Update Notes for 10-13-2023 - 13 October 2023
-the jump bug has been fixed. If you'd like to see that come back as an ability just mention it in the comments. -the in-game HUD has been simplified and enlarged to make it easier to read especially for combat. The frames per second counter is in the upper left hand corner now. The Pause Menu was also tweaked a bit to make it easier to read. -the jetpack ability has a little starting boost now. This should make it a little easier to jetpack off of the ground now rather than having to jump and jetpack like it was before. Since you have a starter boost, you can also maintain your height a bit better now with the jetpack by tapping it on and off as needed. This should help you move a bit more forward with the jetpack too. -some extra "game juice" was added to jumps, double jumps, landing, dashing, gliding, jetpacking, pinging, shooting, and sword swinging. This should make the core of the…
- Update Notes for 9-8-2023 - 8 September 2023
-UPGRADE SHOP: I re-organized this shop so its a bit easier to read and understand. I think there were too many options for people when starting the game and it looked a bit too busy for someone seeing it for the first time so all the upgrades and their levels go down now instead of up. There are also tiers. Upgrades in Tier 2 cost 2 murals and upgrades in Tier 3 cost 3 murals. It'll be harder to get some upgrades, but it should actually make decisions in the beginning a little easier. To compensate for upgrades costing more murals, there are now more Mural Pickups out in the world that will give you another upgrade point. -improved readability on Armory screen. -put in a fix where you could see through a wall if the camera was really close to a wall. It's not perfect, but it should prevent seeing through the world much more. This fix may cause light flickering in some levels, but I hav…
- Update Notes for 8-24-2023 - 24 August 2023
This update has some bug fixes: -if you hit Pause when a shop is open, you can hit Pause again to close the Pause menu and the shop menu. This is a partial, quick fix for opening the Pause menu when a shop is open and covering the Pause menu. -added a Get to the Oasis quest -made spider boss slower -added optimization for red forest, magenta forest, and waterfall city. This should help them load better and allow for more frames per second in the level. More tweaking needs to be done to improve culling though (assets disappearing/appearing). -added some more labels or info on the new eternalist screen and the Puppetmaster's death screen. The PuppetMaster gains health every time you die. -other small bug fixes and improvements.
