- [Counter Gambit Update] Playthrough Expectations & Reaching the Finish Line - 16 August 2026
Hello everyone!I recently finished a private playthrough of Grey Heritage: Counter Gambit and wanted to talk about some of the things that happened along this journey.Playthrough Time Expectations The game is 13 chapters long instead of my usual 14. I did consider pushing it to 14 chapters, but I felt like it would come off as filler, and I wanted a tighter, more conclusive finish to the trilogy. My own run took 6 hours without any cutscenes. Because I'm the developer and already know the game inside and out, I like to multiply my time by 1.5x to 2x to estimate a first-time playthrough for the audience. This means I expect about 9-12 hours of pure gameplay from your personal playthrough.The script is about 40,000 words long. The average person reads about 1,000 words in 4 minutes, but since this is a video game with transitions and effects, I push this average closer to 5 minutes per 1,…

- Steam Deck Update Bug Causes Boot Loop [SOLVED] - 20 December 2022
Hello everyone, if you updated your Steam Deck recently, you might be experiencing a boot loop. When you start the game, it seems like it never opens up and then you have to hard reboot your game. This is an issue with the recent Steam Deck update. Thankfully, there is a quick solution. Go to Settings -> properties -> compatibilities Tick the box that says "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" For now, you can use Proton Experimental, Proton 7.0-5, or GEProton. Any of the recent protons should work. If anybody has any Steam deck issues. please contact me in any way that works for you. Hello, thank you everyone for playing Grey Heritage. Here are the bug fixes for today. EN/CN -Some outdoor walls were labeled "Object." This is now fixed. -Darken the portrait issue in chapters 3, 8, and 11. -Lower sprite placement for portraits that was slightly too high. CN Only -Fixed Ending bug. You can reload your ending save file and read it now. If anybody finds any bugs, please let me know and I will work to address them.

We are very sorry that we originally planned to complete the Japanese version at the same time as "Grey Heritage: Faded Vision" was released. However, due to various reasons, there were some problems in the production of the Japanese version, which could not be completed simultaneously when it was released. The translation and production of the Japanese version are still in progress, and we expect to update the Japanese version by the end of January 2023. We would like to apologize to everyone here.
