- Nexus Relay Launch - 26 May 2025
Nexus Relay is now live with a basic set of features, and more features and events will become available as chapter one continues. Changes in this update: The stand-highlight effect has been toned down for a smoother visual experience. Nexus Relay is now live, allowing players to access its features in-game. MudGate now displays both date and time (use the date/time command). The Item-Bonus-Effects Generator has been fixed. Invalid equipment bonuses have been removed for improved balance.
- Dungeon Updates, New NPCs, and Performance Improvements - 13 May 2025
This update brings improved dungeons with better NPC distribution, new NPCs, and visible weapon damage numbers during combat. My upcoming updates will focus on the Nexus Relay saga and the launch of Chapter One! These are the updates for this release: Updated dungeons with improved NPC distribution. Added new NPCs to dungeons. Added a new icon for unknown objectives. The tutorial window is now fixed to the right side. Improved overall performance. Enhanced animation transitions. Added effect cleanup when changing realms. Weapon damage numbers are now displayed when combating NPCs.

- Chromium Transition and Steam Cloud Support - 17 April 2025
I’ve transitioned from WebView2 to Chromium to improve compatibility. I’ve also added migration scripts to ensure your existing game data is preserved during this update. Additionally, Steam Cloud support has been implemented, so your progress and settings will sync across devices. Changes in this update: MudGate World Date & Time is now set relative to March 21, 2025 (the release date). Fixed an issue where NPCs did not move properly in the world. Added support for Steam Cloud. Replaced WebView2 with Chromium. Added migration scripts for existing data. Character names now allow spaces, punctuation (.-_), and accented characters.
- Dungeon Visibility, Party Notifications & More - 13 April 2025
Here's a summary of the latest changes and improvements implemented in MudGate: The "To the Surface" sign is now visible on all dungeon levels. Fixed an issue where the "Invalid Use" message was sometimes displayed twice. Parties will now be notified if a member enters a private realm. Realm information in the log window is now only displayed when clicked. Primal Senses has been updated: Now hints once for nearby interactable objects. Now provides a dexterity bonus. Now lasts until canceled. Now costs 1 energy per round.
- UI Improvements, World Updates, and Ability Adjustments - 5 April 2025
This update focuses on enhancing the gameplay experience, refining abilities, and improving the environment, and I welcome all player feedback and suggestions :-) These are the updates: Minor UI Improvements: Adjustments made to enhance the first gameplay experience. Escape Key Functionality: Pressing "Escape" now toggles the system menu. Abilities Usage Messages: Improved clarity for ability-related messages. Environment Updates: Dungeons & Lowbird Forest have been updated. Shadow Stalker Class Updates: Dark Harvest: Increased empowerment gained per kill. Vampiric Shadows: Slightly reduced weapon siphon effects. Poisonous Dagger: Now cause greater movement impairment on opponents.

Enhanced error handling and compatibility for the MudGate App. Added a new "Interactive Commands" step to the tutorial. Fixed a bug where effects were not being removed properly. Resolved an issue that allowed bags to be placed inside other bags.
