Instead of updating the Open Playtest like we originally announced, we’ve decided to temporarily retire the playtest and launch a limited-time demo instead!This demo will be available during Steam Scream 4 Fest (Oct 28 – Nov 4), The Shop Keepers Event (Nov 2 – Nov 16), and the DevGAMM Awards Celebration (Nov 4 – Nov 10).We feel this latest build captures the heart of what Midwest 90 is all about — a mix of tension, survival, and good old-fashioned cooking under pressure. Having more players try it through these events is the best way for us to gather feedback and keep improving.This isn’t our final demo though, a more comprehensive one is planned down the road with a ton of new content. Happy Halloween! It's been a while since we have had an open playtest for Midwest 90: Rapid City, over a year actually. We're a tiny team who faced a lot of challenges throughout the year but we kept going and we'll keep going until M90 is ready. We wish could have made this announcement sooner, we released the playtest on the 24th of October and haven't set an end date for the playtest but we have this patch schedule that you can refer to for the moment. We still have a lot to do for the game but with your feedback we can finally move out of the alpha stage and aim for the finish line. Thanks for all the support, we are 2230 wishlist and we hope we can grow that in the next few months so that we can secure some financial help from either a publisher or an investor. It's a big deal for us, as we always shied away from drawing attention on Steam because we just didn't feel ready to show off Midwest 90: Rapid City (M90RC). But thanks to the Level Up KL 2023 Games Showcase featuring M90RC, we have decided to take the plunge and make a free alpha demo available to download for the duration of the showcase ( 31st August - 15th Oct 2023 ). After the event, we will take down the alpha demo because it doesn't fully represent the final game yet.
