• April's current state of Development update! - 30 April 2024

  Hello everyone! Thank you all for waiting on the latest development update for Rootlash. In the past weeks, there have been a lot of changes made to the behaviour of the enemy AI, objectives and more! AI The enemy AI was in my opinion lacking. Originally they'd just storm at the tree if the tree was spotted but now once an enemy spots the tree, he'll give a vocal warning to every other woodworker, soldier, etc in the area and they'll be sure to come for you! Next to the warning, the Some AI will now also patrol the Camps that they belong to, keeping an eye out for any strange trees moving ;) Enemy humans will now also bleed when they are killed by the tree! Furthermore, on the development AI logic has also seen a lot of changes to the AI and its behaviour a lot easier. Though development isn't finished yet. • Development Update - 15 April 2024

  Hey everyone! It's been honestly too long since my last community update. I've been working on Rootlash for the past months, trying to get what I like to deem an acceptable build to get the game to be tested. Encampments! With this new Build, there's a new and larger map to be explored (which is still a work in progress). The new map will include a few enemy camps, which ofcourse will have to be Destroyed, in order to reclaim the forest! But that is not everything! AI behaviour has also been updated, with now roaming enemies to make the camps feel more alive! In the future, there will also be people actively logging the trees around the camp but that will be added at a later point. Missions! With this new update, we've also added specific Trees, that will give you missions related to the area you're trying to liberate!   Hello everyone, I'm very sorry to write this post in the first place. But I would like to warn you all of a scam that is currently going on involving Rootlash. There are people claiming to be the creator of "Rootlash" and trying to get people to test the game. Anyone that approaches you through Discord to Test Rootlash is a scammer trying to send you malware. Please be aware and if possible report any usernames that are claiming to be the creator of Rootlash. If you find any website(s) spreading "Free test versions" then please report them to us. • Rootlash Devlog 1 - 8 October 2023

  Hello everyone! I have been working on Rootlash in the past months and some major changes have been made in which I will be sharing some insight and sneakpeeks. First and foremost, the biggest change that we've made is to change the character model. The old character had some issues with its movement and fighting. Sadly, I was unable to resolve these so I had to opt in for using another model. Our new Tree character does come with some new awesome animations and moves! From new fighting animations to simple things such as running will now be possible. This will also up the pace of the game, which was a critical feedback point for the game as some people felt that the pace was too slow.
