- Patch 0.83 & OTK Games Expo - 10 June 2023
Hello everyone! Bullet Casters has been selected to be featured in the OTK Games Expo, and to celebrate this event we are releasing a small patch with some new content and fixes. The OTK Games Expo is an event featuring many cool upcoming indie games that will be hosted on Asmongold's Twitch channel today, June 10th. UPDATES Content: - Introduced a new boss fight: Guforobo . Balancing: - Ella's (boss) 2nd and 4th phase have been slightly nerfed. - The magic circles that fire downwards in Ella's (boss) have been changed to be more distinguishable from the aimed ones. - Buffed the Ocho attack option: its fire-rate now increases the further the option is from the player. GAME UPDATES - the visuals have been deeply reworked: old assets have been updated to make the colors more coherent, new animations have been added to characters, bullets and enemies and the UI has been completely redrawn. - While the multiplayer mode will still be present, lately we moved the focus on the single player mode. DEMO UPDATES CHARACTER SELECTION IN CHALLENGE MODE Originally we planned to develop the challenges of Bullet Casters to be played with a specific character, since for some of the levels you would really have to make full use of a certain Bullet Caster's unique ability. Though thanks to the players' feedback we realized that most challenges would actually be fun and balanced with every fighter, Despite their extremely different shooting styles. - Development Update - New Monsters, Challenges and Features - 5 May 2022
Hello everyone! In this brief update we just want to update you about Bullet Casters' development. In the past weeks we have been working on new content for the game, as well as improving some of the existing features. New content - 5 new monsters, including Onibi, Firework Mage and Missile Golem. - 4 new challenges. - A new arena: Grayhurst Castle. New and updated features - Started working on the localization system. - In Challenge Mode the player can now see his best completion time for each challenge. - In Duel Mode, the monster selection menu has been reworked to convey info about each unity in a more immediate and efficient way through icons that represent their most important traits. Hello everyone! A few weeks have passed since the release of the Bullet Casters' Demo, and in this period we received a lot of helpful feedback and suggestions to improve the game. In this devlog I want to share with you what feature we are going to change or add based on your input! Challenge Mode Our goal is to make Challenge Mode overall more accessible, while keeping the raw challenge there for those who desire it. - The difficulty curve will be smoothed. - Time limits will be made generally less strict. - We will add an "Assist Mode" to make it easier for player who are new to the genre to experience the game. Hello everyone! First of all, I want to thank you for the huge participation during our last stream, where we had about 23.000 unique spectators! In this second Next Fest stream we want to showcase the Bullet Casters' single-player Challenge Mode. We are going to play through the 14 challenges included in the beta (in the final game we are planning to have ∼ 60 of them!) while talking about their design, future plans for the game and answering any question from chat. - Devs face off in the Bullet Hell PvP Mode! - 23 February 2022
Hello everyone! I am Coconzilla, designer and programmer of Bullet Casters. In this upcoming livestream me and Rokman, the game's pixel artist, are going to face off in the Duel Mode while talking about the game and answering any of your questions! Hello everyone! I'm glad to announce that the Bullet Casters demo is now Available on Steam! In this trial version there are 4 different playable characters, 15 monsters that you can mix and match to create your own bullet hell, and 14 challenges that will test your skill and wits. We are really curious to hear your thoughts about it, so consider sending us your feedback directly from within the game by clicking the "Leave Feedback" button in the main menu, or join our Discord to chat with us. The game development is still underway so any suggestions to improve it are welcome!
- The Demo is Coming! - 17 February 2022
Brace yourselves, for the Bullet Casters demo is coming on Steam soon! From the 21st February you will be able to get a taste of what our game has to offer. The demo will feature 14 levels, 4 playable characters, and 15 monsters to mix and match in Duel Mode to create your own bullet hell! In the last week we worked on a tool to allow you to send us feedback or report bugs directly from within the game, so we are really looking forward to your suggestions on how to improve Bullet Casters. Also, tomorrow at 17:30 GMT Rokman (the game's artist) and I, will play some of the demo's challenges on the Bullet Casters' Discord server. Hello Everyone! We are Coconzilla and Rokman, respectively the programmer and pixel artist for Bullet Casters. This game is a project born of our passion for Local Multiplayer and Bullet Hell games, and we are looking forward to sharing it with you all and hearing your thoughts. Now that the Steam page is up and running we are going to regularly share updates on the development of the title every 2 weeks or so.
