• Demo Update: We’ve Added Keyboard Support! - 5 May 2022

  In player surveys one of the most common requests for Writer’s Block has been the option to use your keyboard to spell words. We’re happy to announce that feature is in our demo right now! Update the game on Steam and check it out. When there are multiples of the same letter, our tile selector will try to use the most helpful choice, with a priority on getting rid of harmful tiles and using beneficial tiles. You still have the option of clicking your way to victory if that’s your preference or when you want extra control. This update also includes some bug fixes and rebalancing. Play through it and you’ll notice some of the enemies might be a tad easier or harder, or may have a new ability. If you have any more suggestions for quality of life upgrades, please let us know! • Thank you for a great PAX East 2022! - 30 April 2022

  We just got back from four incredible days at PAX East! Thanks to everyone who visited the Writer’s Block booth or followed along online. A few highlights of our trip: Meeting hundreds of players! We were blown away by the positive response to the demo. PAX visitors really enjoyed our tactical spin on word games. Giving out Writer’s Block t-shirts to dozens of champions in our hourly word finding contest! Unveiling our new Act 1 boss, the fearsome Block Knight and his lowly squire Blockhead. Steel yourself to take on his nigh invulnerable defenses. Introducing 3 new powerup items, a taste of the 100+ different upgrades that will be in the final release. Last but not least, we added keyboard support! Type your way to victory, or point and click with a mouse, the choice is yours.   We’re excited to see everyone in Boston at PAX East 2022! Come play the latest demo at the Tic Toc Games showcase, Booth #17080, from Thursday, April 21 to Sunday, April 24.
