Rogue Tower 2 is in the works! Development is coming along slow and steady. I don't have much to show off yet, but it is coming along well enough that I feel comfortable finally announcing it.I have decided to build Rogue Tower 2 from the ground up in a new engine. This opens up some exciting opportunities. Most excitingly: Rogue Tower 2 will have multiplayer! Additionally, due to the amazing feedback I have received since the launch of Rogue Tower, I am able to better design and implement many aspects of the game to fix some oddities the original has been stuck with due to its hasty construction. I hope everyone has enjoyed the April fools mode. I have decided to keep it in the game permanently for whenever you feel like touching that sweet grass in first person. Bug Fixes -The right shift key now works properly in first person. -Fixed a bug causing cursor to remain hidden upon returning to the main menu from touch grass mode. -Fixed a potential cause of game crash related to the shift key.

The End is Nigh! One year from release this third and final planned major update brings many new things to Rogue Tower, and on its birthday no less. Happy birthday Rogue Tower. Endless Mode! Endless mode allows for you to take a victorious run to the next level and see how far you can push your defenses. However, enemies gain strong bonuses every level during endless mode making it harder and harder to survive. Enemy Bonuses per endless level: +5%, +10%, +15%... bonus to health, armor and shields. +0.1 move speed. -2g dropped (minimum 0g). -2% to all university research. New Towers! 1.2.1.0 Patch Notes Just some small tweaks and fixes in between working on bigger things. Changes Right shift now works for building multiple towers. Fixes Fixed the existence of 'ghost' buildings on certain tiles. Fixed shredder sometimes going through terrain on new tiles. March of the Monsters 1.1.1.1 Patch Notes Some minor tweaks, fixes and additions following in the wake of the release of March of the Monsters. New Features & Changes: -Added copy/paste buttons for tower priorities! -Added new upper limits to monster health, armor, shield and speed upgrade cards. (No, they are unlikely to come up in play because yes, they get very silly) -Evicerate, Creeping Cough and all D.O.T. pop upgrades (Exsanguinate, expunge ect.) are now displayed in the UI. -Longbow I, II & III no longer give +2 range and instead increase the range bonus elevation gives to ballistas. Fixes -Fixed some of the monster armor upgrade cards displaying the wrong values. -Fixed rounding errors displayed on the monster buff UI.

There be Monsters! 34 New Monsters! Many monsters have heard about the disturbance the Rogue Tower is causing and are coming to say their piece. With nearly triple the original number of monsters, this update also adds a new spawning system which will make every run even more different and give the player more things to strategize around. 6 New Ooogies! With each new horde of monsters comes with a new reincarnation of Ooogie! Each Ooogie will test different parts of your defenses, so make sure to prepare once you know which Ooogie you will face! Mini-Bosses! Past level 15, every new type of enemy will spawn a mini-boss on the following level. These mini-boss versions of the monster will be much harder to kill making them a true test if your defenses are up to the challenge these monsters present. - April Fools all April - 6 April 2022
For anyone who missed out on the April Fools patch or wants to have a little more fun with it I have good news! For the rest of April you can get access to the April fools patch. To access it, right click on Rogue Tower in your Steam library and select properties. Then, go to betas. You can then select the April Fools beta to gain access to the April Fools balance patch. The patch will be available for the rest of April. Most achievements are able to be obtained on the patch except any victory related achievements. Happy defending everyone!

I hope everyone enjoyed the totally balanced balance patch this weekend. Just a bit of festive fun to bring in the new season. The game has been reverted to version 1.0.15. Now it's time for me to get back to work on the next patch which may not be released for a short while since It will contain the first major feature update which will bring new life to the monsters of Rogue Tower and hopefully some fun extras too!

Spring Patch Notes Small balance patch to bring in the spring air. Changes The ballista has received absolutely no change. Mortar is no longer long-range artillery. Increased the amount of love the Tesla coil can spread in one hug. Frost keeps no longer slow but are still rather chilly. 1.0.12 Patch Notes This patch overhauls mana generation to improve synergy between different mana options and to reduce the number of cards which feel like trash. New Features Added bonus gold from banditry and gold rush to the damage tracker. Can now press T to access the damage tracker mid game. Tower modifiers now only show while the damage tracker is open to reduce screen clutter. Tower Priorities now scale in importance based on their order (top priority x3, second priority x2 and last priority x1). Improved UI scaling to be more consistent feeling. New Features UI scaler now effects all HUD in game and some things in the main menu. Its effect has been increased and it can now be set in the main menu as well.
