  Hello everyone! Sorry for going quiet for a while — we’ve been working hard on the game. The main story is now completely finished, and all that’s left is the epilogue (unlocked after the true ending, featuring free exploration plus its own story quests), as well as localization and platform optimization.Which means… we can finally announce a tentative release window: the game is planned to launch in Summer 2026!And here are answers to some questions you might have:— Why did it take so long?Because it’s big.The effective playtime (excluding repeated content) is around 30 hours, and its multi-route narrative structure is the most complex we’ve ever attempted. Combined with our item-throwing–focused, atypical JRPG combat system, this project has definitely pushed our limits as developers.— Multi-route structure... so does that mean high freedom?Not really.All three routes are fully linear…

  Hi everyone! Here's 42Teaparty, developer of Just a Chest. Thank you all for your patience and support for Just a Chest. Now the game is still in progress and has entered the late stage of production. Also, multi-language localization of the game is in progress. Last month, Just a Chest was exhibited at TGS. We sincerely hope there'll be more opportunities to meet you all at different exhibitions in the future. Can't wait to see you play the game and hear your comments! Now the Japanese version of the store page is officially released. We'll continue to develop the game while polishing its localization versions, and keep you updated about the news of Just a Chest.
