  • Devlog #6 - Rocky times but making progress! - 12 February 2024

Hello everyone. It’s been a while since we’ve had a public news post about Project Cappuccino 2, but we’ve finally found a small bit of breathing room to make one. The game has still been in active development but to say this past year has been terrible is an understatement. When the Kickstarter failed to hit the goal, we retreated from marketing for a while to focus on game development. Unfortunately, we’ve hit stumble after stumble. It’s been difficult staying motivated but we continue to chip away at the project as much as possible. Cancer Significantly Delayed Progress During the second half of 2023, I ended up being diagnosed with testicular cancer and had to go through that ordeal. Lots of productive time was flushed down the toilet thanks to that, but I got lucky that it was caught at Stage 1 and am essentially cured of it at this point. Aside from having to follow up with regula…

  • Devlog #5 - Kickstarter / New Public Build & More! - 16 April 2023

Hey guys, we’ve got another Devlog ready for you, but first, we must get a few things out of the way. Our Kickstarter campaign is finally live and kicking! Surprisingly, we got approved despite the NSFW content of our game. We launched it yesterday and we've been getting some amazing attention so far. But we need your help to get the word out and make it even more successful. There are various community milestones and goals that can be achieved, check it out because your support is vital, even if it's just spreading the word! New Public Build Now Available Alongside this, we just released a brand new public build of our game, and it's packed with some major content and improvements that have been made over the past few months. One of the new features is a Mana Cow Girl NSFW scene, which shines the spotlight on our brooding goth GF. There are also some backgrounds for the colosseum map t…

  • Devlog #4 - New Nip Toys & Hentai Expo! - 2 March 2023

We’re back with a new Devlog! It’s been an extremely busy time for us and there’s a lot on our plate. Story Scenes Implemented Some progress has been made on story cutscenes that were missing. Mana's route will be taking her deep into a labyrinth in pursuit of her Succubus Throne merit! Save System Coming Requests are piling in for us to implement the save system in Project Cappuccino 2. We’re on track to roll it out within 1 or 2 updates. The main reason we didn’t implement this from the start is that it would potentially break a ton of saves as we continue to release new versions. Not to mention that we would likely lose a lot of time trying to rework the save system every time we add new mechanics or things to the game. However, we’re at a point where we can probably comfortably add it. Wooden Horse Finalized The wooden horse scene with Yani is pretty much done and we’ve implemented…

  • Devlog #3 - Wooden Horse & More - 16 January 2023

January has been off to a solid start for Project Cappuccino 2. We’ve been adding new content as well as doing a few quality-of-life improvements. Today we’ll be talking about some of this stuff as well as what’s on the horizon in the next few months. Intro Animations The game’s intro has been animated and had some sound effects added. These animations help bring the character's personalities to life and offer a glimpse at how they react in certain situations. Outfit System Due to a bug in Unity, we had some time to work on other things while waiting for an engine patch. One of those things was the option to change characters’ dialogue portraits. Players can now unlock outfits for characters and change them by using the Dressing Room. The selected outfit change will be used for all conversations involving a character, and some will even alter some dialogue entirely! We wanted to add thi…

  • Devlog #2 - Starting off 2023 with Horny Succubi! - 27 December 2022

We’re back with our second public Devlog for Project Cappuccino 2. Christmas has eaten up some of our time this month but we’re doing our best to keep powering through work whenever we can. For starters, we spent some time planning out our workload for 2023. Here is a new Road Map. Rather than cramming everything under the sun into the road map, we decided to simplify it and only highlight what people might find the most interesting. This doesn’t necessarily mean that we’ll only be adding these things in a sprint, but rather that these will be the core elements that we’ll focus on. Anything else like boring back-end systems and QOL fixes won’t be mentioned on here and you’ll find those in the usual progress logs. This Road Map will also be updated every 3 months or so and readjusted depending on how we move through the workload. Rhythm Fixes The rhythm game has been massively improved!…

  • Devlog #1 - Project Cappuccino 2 & What's coming next? - 18 November 2022

Now that Project Cappuccino 2 has an official public build, our development cycle will be a bit more steady. For the development of Project Cappuccino 2, we decided to break our work up into seasonal sprints. During these sprints, we try and complete as much work as possible. Anything that ends up not getting done gets pushed to the next season, and so on. Here’s what’s currently on our to-do list for the remaining month or so of Fall. We might try and see if we can get a public demo here on Steam and we'll let you guys know if we do. Chapter Title Cards This is a small polish thing but it serves to make the game feel a little more professional. These cards will show up at the beginning of a character’s story chapters, with each one being themed around the character. Inventory & Gifting System Part of Yani’s route required us to give the player an item. We figured that it would be a goo…
