Major fix: We think we have found out the reason why saving the game in the first level would prevent the game from starting for a small number of players. This issue should be fixed in this patch, but please don't hesitate to contact us either through Steam discussions or our official Discord if you still encounter crashes relating to this. As it only happened on some machines, it was difficult to test reliably. Thank you for your patience. Three people worked very hard to rock the horror game world. Add a pinch of puzzle game and Finnish mythology and you get Lempo! Lempo is based on those three people's cultures. In Finland, everybody’s connected to nature, and so is this game. Much of the game even takes place in a forest! Players can easily identify themselves with the main character of the game because, even with a great sense of direction, after a 9 to 5, everybody can find themselves in strange places if they aren't careful enough about the direction they follow. The spark for LEMPO came from using old Finnish folklore of Metsänpeitto as the basis of the story. A magical and dark fantasy world where one might get lost and (almost) never get out. Then the idea started to live and we thought about the core pillars of our game: avoiding major cliches, strong emphasis on storytelling, and an epic atmosphere and mood throughout the story. This is when the idea of using Lempo (the character) was born. Before Christianity had arrived in Finland, in the old Finnish mythology Lempo was, and is, a much kinder version of the god Christians perceived as bad as the Devil itself. We wanted to use the darker version to inspire our version of Lempo... and we wanted to give Her even more powers than she used to have.
