Another month of development is in the books, and this time we're diving into some of the new gameplay, creatures, and smaller details being added to The Majestic as development continues toward release.With the main story now implemented (more than four hours of cinematics!) a lot of my recent work has shifted toward filling out the world around that story. That means adding new optional activities, finding new ways to use existing gameplay systems, and creating more opportunities to simply explore, interact, and discover something unexpected.And sometimes that something is very, very big.This month I began introducing a massive whale into the ocean, adapting it to fit alongside the other creatures in the game and building new interactions around it. After years of development, I’m finally within one year of release.This devlog covers a huge milestone for the project: the entire story is now implemented in-game. All cinematics across the five acts are complete, bringing the total cinematic runtime to nearly four hours.
