- Finally free from 'mixed' Steam review purgatory, a new Nightingale update turns its biggest frustration into a strength - 8 November 2025
A new Nightingale update has just launched, and it's starting to feel like Inflexion's 'gaslamp fantasy' adventure is finally beginning to achieve what it set out to do. Launched in 2024, it struggled to compete in a year absolutely stacked with some of the best survival games . Against Palworld, Enshrouded, Once Human, The Planet Crafter, Sons of the Forest 1.0, and fresh updates for established stalwarts like Valheim and Rust, Nightingale's beautiful visuals weren't enough to compensate for a lack of depth. Yet a year and a half later, its Steam reviews are finally sitting in the blue, and now there's yet another reason to check in. Read the rest of the story... - How to Play with Friends - 4 October 2025
To play with your Friends in Nightingale, you have two options: rent a dedicated server or spin up a listen server directly from your PC. In both cases, you’ll need to either select one of your existing characters or create a new one to join or host a game.No matter which option you choose, you can bring existing characters into a friend’s realm and carry progress back to your own world using the Play Solo option. When starting, create a new character or select one from your roster. If you’d like to use a character that was previously online, choose Download Characters from the main menu to access characters created after the Realms Rebuilt update.Dedicated ServersWhy choose a dedicated server? - Gorgeous fantasy survival crafter Nightingale is yours for free, if you're fast - 2 October 2025
It's not too surprising that Nightingale struggled to stand out in 2024, a year absolutely stacked with some of the best survival games in years. From Palworld and Enshrouded to Once Human, The Planet Crafter, Soulmask, and even Sons of the Forest 1.0, there was some serious competiton. It certainly didn't help that, while Inflexion Games built a truly gorgeous world, it felt rather empty and devoid of focus in the early months. Nightingale has come a long way since then, however, introducing a story-driven campaign, ramping up its base-building tools, and opening the gates to its titular city - and now you can grab it for free, thanks to the Epic Games Store. - Nightingale June Update - 13 June 2025
Realmwalkers,It’s been a few months since our Nightingale City update and we wanted to take a moment to step back and share where things stand, not just with Nightingale but with some of the broader work going on at Inflexion. More than anything, we want to share how we’re approaching the road ahead.A lot of our recent work has focused on long-term planning for Inflexion. That of course includes Nightingale, but also other projects we’re exploring as a studio. It’s not always the most visible kind of work, but it’s important, especially now given the realities of today’s games industry. Most recently, it opened the doors to Nightingale City and another tier of endgame gear options.
