The Fire’s Edge, the first new Darkest Dungeon DLC since 2020, is now live! This DLC includes two heroes, The Runaway and The Duelist, who made their debut in Darkest Dungeon II, a new combat mechanic, unique trinkets, plus 3 more Districts.The team has always been interested in backporting The Runaway and The Duelist to the original Darkest Dungeon, and with the game celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, it seemed like the perfect time to add something new! Each new hero has their own unique style of gameplay: The Duelist is able to dance between ranks, while freely maintaining Riposte as she switches between two combat stances, whereas The Runaway makes use of Burn, a combat mechanic unique to her class. Red Hook Studios has joined forces with Vault Comics to release an all new series of graphic novels set in the Darkest Dungeon universe. Our heroes embark into the unknown once again! The graphic novels will tell an original canonical story, delving deeper into the mysteries at the heart of the Darkest Dungeon core mythology. Brace yourself for the horrors that lie waiting in the encroaching dark! We're released another hotfix for Darkest Dungeon II. Here's what the build includes:HELLIONRavager🔸 Toe to Toe is now a Path skill🔸 Toe to Toe+ does not ignore Winded (in fact, it never did for Ravager)🔸 Toe to Toe+ grants +4% Deathblow RES per Winded removed for 3 TurnsBerserker🔸 Toe to Toe is now a Path skill🔸 Toe to Toe+ does not ignore Winded (as above, it never did for Berserker)🔸 Toe to Toe+ grants +3% CRIT per Winded removed for 3 TurnsDev Note: Due to a system limitation that lead to a conflict with the Ravager and Berserker Paths' mechanics for ignoring Winded, the "Ignore Winded" component of Wanderer Toe to Toe+ is unable to function correctly on either Path. For this reason, we opted to make Toe to Toe a Path skill for each and replaced that non-functional element with a buff better suited to facilitating Ravager's low health gameplay and Berserker's CRIT momentum.
