• On the anonymization of ranked matches - 22 September 2024

  We will announce the specifications and policies of ranked matches as needed. Please follow the official X account and join Discord. From version 0.1.7, player names will be displayed in ranked matches. We have received multiple opinions regarding the anonymization of ranked matches. The purpose of this update was to eliminate inconveniences such as meta-reasoning caused by seeing other players' names, while ensuring everyone can compete fairly under the same conditions. However, we understand that not displaying player names can reduce the inherent fun. We will reconsider the specifications of ranked matches and make changes again soon.

• Anonymous Features Added! - 20 September 2024

  Three anonymous features have been added. All player names will be displayed as "Anonymous Detective." This can be set in the settings menu. Player names will be displayed anonymously during ranked matches regardless of the streamer mode settings. Player names will remain in the match history. Replays from the match history can now be played anonymously.

• To those living in China - 11 September 2024

  Thank you very much for playing Jack and Detectives! We've received multiple reviews already, and among them, we've noticed several mentioning issues with starting the game. This game uses Google servers, so it cannot be accessed from within China. Therefore, it's possible that an error occurred due to the inability to properly connect during the game's startup, preventing the game from starting. If you live in China and purchased the game on Steam, please either request a refund or use a method to bypass China's internet restrictions to play. This patch will now display a similar message when starting the game.
