Its Goo time! We have a update for you all to shake up the arena. It has been awhile since the last update and we wanted to add some new goos to the free base goo group to shake up the arena. As well we did some extensive balance updates and fixed a ton of bugs. Lets get into it.Three New Goos:Meet Maggie. She's a Goolem who got a little to close to the sun. The early game was lacking a strong early to mid game Fire goo in the base goo group and Maggie is coming in hot. Upon Fainting she will deal 1/4 of her total ATK to all the enemy goos. A great way to have an early game offensive tank in your fire goo builds.Fisher is added to the group of quite a few other Cat Goos we have in the Arena. He its making moves in the arena (Literally) He will take whoever is in the back of the enemy lineup and move them to the front! This can totally throw the enemies positioning into chaos. Be careful…

Summer was the last season we didn't have a group of goos for, so we decided it was their time to have fun in the sun! Fire goos have been neglected for awhile so we decided to give them some more options with our first new goo Firble: Firble introduces a new mechanic of "burn" it will stack and do damage over time whenever that goo attacks! Another new goo that uses that is Singe. Singe is gotten when have 3 or more fire goos on your team and will burn away the attack of your enemy!Speaking of Attack we also have Rigor! Play as guest: We have added a new way to start you goo Journey, with a 'Play as Guest' option now added. We heard from a lot of new users that they don't want to use their email on some random Indie game developer to play a Goo game, That is totally valid so now you Create a "Guest Account" that can do everything a main account does without using an email.(We only use your email currently to help you recover you account and to make it easier to do crossplay). After making a Guest account you can upgrade it and add an email and password at any point and save any progress you made on your guest account. Its a new year with some new goo to celebrate! To celebrate the new year we have reworked a lot of the goos and added 10 new goos across all existing groups of goos (3 of them are in the base game) with some new mechanics. On top of that we upgraded and fixed a lot of other things in the game. Lets get into it! New Goos! We have added new Goos to all of the base Goo Groups. To the base game we added Hippo, Novelty and Penguin. Penguin is another Ice goo joining Golem in the base pack who will fill the void of a late game tank that the base goo group is sorely lacking. If you find yourself endlessly cycling items, Hippo is the go to goo, Hippo will give you free item cycling for free each round with the number of hippos that you have! Hey everyone a cleanup update is here! Turning a bunch of bugs into pure goo to help clear the way for a couple big things.. Lets go over some of it. More Quality of life things! We have added a ton of little things across the game to make things a little easier to see what is going on. Such as above now show what goos you will be getting and in how many rounds they will appear! This will make it easier to see what's going on when you have Goos like Chicken that swap what your new goos are. Bug Fixes The goopendium keeps getting messed up. We have fixed it for good now so don't worry we won't break it again :) As well we have fixed a bunch of other bugs such as the wrong goo showing in some prompts and a crash when starting larger private matches. We have redrawn EVERY item in the game to be significantly higher resolution!! As well as upscaled some other buttons in the lab to make them all scale better on bigger screens. Hey! Long time no see. We have been in the lab cooking up the largest update ever for Goo Gladiators. Over 20 new goos new items and some nice 'quality of life' improvements. Lets get into it! Omni Goos We have added a new group of Goos! These new Goos have come to mix up the arena. They work differently than the base game goos as instead of mutating multiple times (Base goo -> Golem -> Moss For example.) The goos you can get will vary depending on the base goo you use! You start with two base Omni Goos, your next two base goos you get have an Extra eye untill you get to the third that has three eyes and physic powers! Each Omni goo will mutate differently depending on what goo they are. Omni with one eye given a paint pallet will turn into something different than one with three eyes for example! Another goo update just went out. This update has tons of balance changes and bug fixes and even a few cool new features. Lets get right into it. Balance changes The area has been reset as many goos have been buffed or reworked. A new update is out with tons of new content! Lets get right into it. Daily Quests We have added daily quests! Every 24 hours you will be given two quests to complete that range from winning matches with a certain goo type or playing a private match! Completing Quests will reward you with Goolah and Experience. New Background & Skin We have added another background to celebrate the coming cold season. Its a little too cold for the Frobz so we also decided to give him a beanie to help keep them warm! Quality of Life Improvements There are now more ways to get Goolah! Spring has sprung. With this we have 5 new goos and a ton of game improvements. Performance improvements Lets get the less exciting stuff out of the way first. As any current or old player would know the game takes a long time to even show up on your computer! Some people had to wait for over a minute before they saw anything show up. That is now been brought down to just a few seconds! On top of that the game now uses less than half of the memory it used before while running the game AND is half size it was before (its now less than 400mb from 1GB). Hey guys! We just pushed out a smaller update fixing some of the issues people have been having since launch and make things a little easier. Sign-in Fixes The most commonly encountered bug/ complaint was on signup not being able to paste in things! So we fixed that as well as added a button to add the @ symbol as some keyboards were not detecting people hitting the @ symbol on them. Ease of Use Improvements A lot of newer users were having trouble understanding how mutated vs held items were handled. So we have added some more text prompts when applying items to help make it more clear what is going on. As well as not allowing people to do silly things like giving a fish to a goo already holding a fish. Final thoughts/ future things Overall thank you guys so making the launch great so far! Big update to prepare us for launch! There are new goos, new items and tons of Quality improvements. NEW GOO! The first of the unlockable Goo packs is out! It contains a ton of new Items and 10 new Goos. Some of my favorite goos are in this pack all with cool new strategies and ways to play. Balance changes The two most under utilized goos where by far the bubble goo and the Frob. As such both are getting pretty big buffs. The bubble goo now will only hit enemies instead of everyone. As well the bubble goo used to be quite difficult to get as you had to lose a bunch of matches to unlock them. Now you get them by using the 'bubble' item that is gotten through having 3 or more water goos on your team. The Frob did not have nearly enough HP to be the tank it was intended to be. As such its starting HP has DOUBLED as well as doubling its starting defense. This should make the frob more of a…

The beta has been a blast so far! I've loved being able to see everyone get to play around with the Goos and the teams that you guys have made. We have fixed a ton of bugs as well as changed some of the game balance. Lets walk through some of that. Feel free to skip down to the bottom if you just want to see the raw changes :) Balance reasoning The first thing I wanted to address was the early game was kind of boring. It was just rock vs rock in the first 2/3 turns. The seed bag has been moved up to a turn 0 item. This also will make it easier to change the seed into Frumptun as he can start growing a couple turns sooner. As well the Spray bottle will now come after the first turn, This means that on turn 2 there are 5 different goos that you can start to build your strategy around (Default, Rock, Flower, Seed, Moss).
