• Main Menu Overhaul - 28 May 2024

  For a while now, we have been unsatisfied with the main menu in One-Armed Cook. It was confusing to use, and had unnecessary sections and buttons. We’ve completely redesigned the main menu, in style with our more recent game One-Armed robber. The two menus are now very similar in design. This makes the one-armed cook menu much more intuitive to use. The entire menu has been condensed down to a single easy-to-use screen. In the previous design you would have to press several buttons before you were able to play the game, now only a single click is needed. Previously you would have to select whether you wanted to play singleplayer or multiplayer before you could do anything else, but with the new menu design both singleplayer and multiplayer are possible in the same menu. Starting the game while you’re alone in the lobby will simply start a singleplayer game. Invite your friends or change…

• Multiplayer improvements - 19 September 2023

  Movement A lot of players have recently complained about the multiplayer in One-armed cook, therefore we have spent a lot of time reworking the player movement system, as well as the item physics to improve the overall multiplayer experience. And we believe that we have done so. Physics items Multiplayer is now smooth for hosts as well as clients even when their ping is high, physics items now smoothly replicate and it is way easier for clients to handle items. In the past when players had high ping, there would sometimes be a delay between clicking on an item and picking it up. That has been completely fixed, and picking up items is now instant, even with 100+ ping. Item bugs We have also gone through and fixed as many of the physics replication bugs that we could find, or players have reported, this includes buggy boxes, food items, knives, fryer baskets, pizza shovels and more! • DLC maps complete makeover - 15 September 2023

  We have completely reworked all of the maps for the Space and beyond DLC, and the Drinks and bars DLC. Both for the regular gamemodes as well as the catering gamemode, when you play the game now, you will see the new maps, and their great visual improvement. We've also done some upgrades to some of the other maps, this includes Freddy's fried chicken, and the Ships and oceans DLC. We've remade the maps, while still trying to keep the original floor layout, in order to not confuse anyone who are used the old maps.

• Mop it up! - 7 September 2023

  We are excited to announce the new features in one-armed cook! We have made additions to the drinks and bars DLC as well as the base game! In the Drinks and bars DLC you are now able to spill drinks, and mop up your mess, but watch out, if you don’t mop up the spill, it will attract rats. Feeling thirsty? you can now have a taste of the wonderful drinks you create, but don’t get carried away, drinking too much will get you drunk! If you leave spilled drinks or food on the floor, the customers will now take notice, that’s because a brand new addition to the customer review system has been made, now reviews will affect an overall score for the restaurant and once you complete a level a score of 0-5 stars will be given based on the average reviews of the customers in that game. • Summer update - 28 June 2023

  Summer has come to One-armed cook! And so has two new summer themed maps! If you feel the need to get away from it all on a summer vacation, the new sandwich shop on a tropical beach is perfect for you. A place where you can put your feet up and relax to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, but don’t relax for too long, because customers are waiting for their food! Is the beach too hot for you? cool down while serving ice cream for customers needing to cool down in the summer heat. In a cozy ice cream shop located in a beautiful pedestrian street.

• Ships and oceans - 14 April 2023

  Are you ready to set sail for the newest DLC in one-armed cook? The ships and oceans DLC with all kinds of seafood! Get ready to cook on a cruise ship in the Atlantic, this is where you'll be cooking sushi, and you'll be doing it in style. With a luxurious environment and top-of-the-line ingredients, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills as a master chef.. Test your courage in the rough stormy seas on a small fishing boat cooking food for your hungry crewmates. Or in the bullseye of enemy fire on a pirate ship, while your crew of fellow pirates wait for you to defeat the ship, so you can return to continue preparing their food. • The Catering Update! - 24 March 2023

  It’s the update you’ve all been waiting for! Catering jobs! The Catering update has just been released for One-armed cook! and it’s a big update, adding dozens of new restaurants and recipes to the game, in the special gamemode called Catering Jobs. You are now able to take jobs throughout a big city, earn money and spend that money on new recipes which unlock new restaurants to cook in, upgrade your kitchen to speed up the cooking process, and even powerups to give you an advantage in the kitchen. Complete the catering challenges and unlock new looks for your equipment such as knives, plates, pans and more!

• Taco time! - 26 February 2023

  Are you a fan of Mexican cuisine? Then you're in luck, because One-armed Cook just released a new, and highly requested map called "Manny's Mexican Food"! In this map, you can cook up delicious Mexican dishes while being immersed in a lively and authentic Mexican street-inspired environment. A Mexican restaurant set in an environment inspired by Mexican streets, with classic Mexican food, such as Nachos, “Mexi bowls” and of course tacos. try out the new recipes and explore the map in the newest restaurant “Manny’s Mexican food” right now!

• Small bugfix update before major update! - 3 February 2023

  Today an update fixing a few bugs has been released, we wanted to roll out these bug fixes before the next major update. *Fixed the secret achievement not unlocking *Fixed negative money rewards *Fixed bugged inventory items appearing for some players *Fixed customers getting stuck on eachother *Fixed pizza topping getting picked up by delivery boxes after being attached to a pizza *Fixed burnt food catching on fire when cut *Other minor bug fixes Now, onto some exciting news. • Adding achievements! - 3 January 2023

  We are excited to announce that achievements are coming to the game! You will now be able to unlock achievements by completing various challenges and tasks in-game. There are over 20 achievements to unlock, ranging from serving dishes to putting out fires. We hope these achievements will add a new layer of depth and replayability to the game, as you will have more goals to work towards beyond just serving customers and having fun at your own pace. • Moonbase munches - 2 January 2023

  "Moonbase Munches" is the newest map in One-armed Cook for the players that own the "Space and Beyond" DLC. The map takes you to a futuristic moonbase where you can whip up delicious, out-of-this-world cakes for hungry customers. Set against the stunning backdrop of a bustling moon city, you will have to navigate the challenges of cooking in near-zero gravity while using a variety of moon-themed ingredients and recipes to create tasty treats. So dust off your space suit and get ready to bake up a storm in this celestial kitchen!

  26/12/2022 patch - Removed the Christmas event map + Added new cosmetics: >Cupcake hat >Balaclava >“Rainbow rounds” glasses >Round spectacles >Orange pants *Improved the mechanics for interacting with objects *The host is now able to kick players from a session *The gamelength is now adjustable in singleplayer as well *Minor bug fixes We've made a number of improvements to the way players interact with objects in the game. Players should now find it less annoying to pick up items, until now items could become stuck inside each other and cause them to fly and bug out when picked up. Now items will disable collision with each other if picked up inside another object, and enable collision again when they are no longer overlapping. We hope these changes will enhance the overall gameplay experience and make it more enjoyable for everyone.

This DLC brings a whole new level of chaos and fun to the game, as you take on the role of a bartender and mixologist or barista, serving up a variety of drinks, cocktails and coffees to your thirsty customers. With "Drinks and Bars", you'll be able to: Mix and serve a variety of drinks, including classic cocktails, beers, and coffees. Play through new maps set in a nightclub, a pool hall, and a coffee shop, each with their own unique challenges and customers. Use your skills and speed to keep up with the demand of your customers, all while trying to avoid spilling and breaking glasses. • Christmas holiday Update - 17 December 2022

  It's that time of year again, and One-Armed Cook is getting into the holiday spirit with our new Christmas update. In this special update, you'll be able to serve up some delicious chocolate milk to your customers, all dressed up in their festive Santa hats. Not only is this a tasty treat for the holiday season, it's also a sneak peek of the upcoming DLC for the game, where you'll be able to mix and serve a variety of drinks to your customers. So make sure to add it to your wishlist! Set in a beautifully decorated Christmas cabin, this map will transport you to Santa's workshop cabin, complete with a Christmas tree and festive decorations. • Freddy’s fried chicken - 30 November 2022

  A new map has just been added! Freddy’s fried chicken is a fast food-inspired restaurant, and just like in most fast food restaurants this map also has food trays, this makes it easier to transfer food from the fryer to the assembly table. To empty a fryer basket you can hold down right click, and the basket will be emptied, line it up with a tray and you can pour it in, place that tray on the assembly line, and the food is ready to be put together by the assembler. This map has been planned for quite a while but has been sort of forgotten. Now it is finally ready to be played! The map is well suited for 2-4 players, but it is also possible to play it on your own. • Changes to the experience system - 6 November 2022

  Changes have been made to the way you earn experience. Previously the level was completed and XP was given based on the amount of customers you served, completely ignoring the accuracy and quality of the food you served. XP will now be given based on the amount of money you earned during the level. In the lobby you now have the ability to choose the “game length” in other words, how much money you have to earn to complete the level before the time runs out. The other side tasks remain unchanged. This way XP is given more fairly to the players who focus on making the best food! We think this is a better way to award players who focus on the actual point of the game, instead of those who just rush through.   Play One-armed cook before november 1. and unlock a pumpkin mask. Play the special event and complete the task to unlock a special secret item! Fight waves of rats while protecting the cheese until it has reached its goal, where you will fight a special boss! "The rats have finally had enough and are ready to fight back! For too long have they been tortured and slain by players who see them as a pest. It is time for revenge."

• Pizza Time! - 7 October 2022

  Pizza time! It has been a while since the last update. The long awaited pizza map has finally been released, now it is time to serve some pizza! The entire food and serving system needed to be remade to make this possible, but the pizza map is here. Along with the new food system comes a lot of bug fixes, and a lot more flexibility and new possibilities when it comes to new maps. So expect to see more unique maps in the future! A lot of you have requested more in-depth graphics options, so now there is a “very low” setting, fps limiter, and the possibility to change the resolution scale, which should improve performance for low end devices. A field of view slider has also been added. - Please note! Due to a lot of changes to core mechanics of the game, new bugs or oversights are a possibility.
