  • Queuing, The Exorcist and the two last customers. - 24 October 2022

Hi all, Let’s start the week with an update! Vintage Records from Hell has been in early access all summer and should officially be released Friday! Here’s what you can find in this update : Queues. Awhile back I designed two queuing system in the game. A queue for the clients in line at the cash register and a second one that is used when manually filling up the record racks. Both of them had issues. This weekend, both got optimized/redesigned to work properly. The Exorcist Skill 7 – The Exorcist never really worked. ( Yeah, I know right!) It was finally properly implemented over the weekend. Fixes • Client Cash register Queue has been optimized/redesigned. • Record Rack refill Queue was optimized/redesigned. New Stuff! • Two las…

  • Vinyl Junkies Story Tasks, Simulation Tweaks and Occult skills. - 14 October 2022

It’s Friday and I wanted to give you all an update before the weekend. As always, tons of work made it into the new build and while a lot of testing has been done, testing remains ongoing. Store Simulation The store simulation is getting a fairly large update and I am in the middle of it. So there is more to come but for now here are some of the new adjustments. • The popularity impact on the customers coming to the store has been adjusted. • The process time at the cash register has been adjusted to be quicker. • Default search time at the record racks has been reduced. • Store was limited to 6 clients at a time, now the limit is 8. ( Note : The number of racks also limits the number of clients willing to shop. Too few racks and too many clients overcrowds the store.) There is still an issue with the store getting overcrowded due to too much marketing in the late part of the game. This…

Hi all, A few players mentioned the latest update made the game quite difficult so it was important to update it as soon as possible – which means today! In no particular order...here is a list of them : Marketing Guru. You now have to hire a Marketing Guru to handle your marketing tasks. Information Field. This first integration will display : New customers and what they are doing, things like Browsing, Queuing, Buying...It will also display when your have priced your albums too high. Insufficient funds The information field will now display insufficient funds. I’ve also added a neat little Cash Register animation and a sound to make things clearer. • Full screen, new characters and a few adjustments! - 12 September 2022

Hi all, Despite spending most of my time in coffee shops writing more story for this game, I did find time over the weekend to prepare a new build! First, The game now has Full Screen support and now supports many 16:9 resolution. Thanks for your patience on this one, it was a long time coming. • Tooltips, Seller Roster...and lots of Karma – mid week update! - 31 August 2022

Finally, tooltips were added to the build! Much of the button behavior had to be adapted so this took quite a few days to properly integrate but the basic functionality is now present and we now have something solid to continue to build on. But more importantly : Karma. Karma Affinity/Karma has been added to the game. Now when conversing with a seller, your choices matter. They will influence if the sellers enjoy your company or not. The higher Karma you acquire from a seller, the more open they will be to bargain prices of vintage records with you. Also, giving a seller a good deal will result in more karma for you and trying to low ball a seller will result is loss of karma. Seller Roster. You will notice on the Top menu bar a new icon – The Seller Roster. This new view displays all the sellers that show up to your store. It also shows you the Karma they have towards you. Conversation…

Hi everyone, It’s time for the latest update! First, When you start the game, you will notice that the top menu bar now displays your current Stock. ( Finally! ) This makes it way easier to keep track of your subgenre albums. To be able to fit this new section, I had to move around a few buttons. Consider all this work-in-progress. Additionally, the Record Rack Refill system is now in place. This works in conjunction with the new Stock section and will appear each time you open the shop. Now you will see the effects of pressing those little red ( ! ) exclamation mark icons! Tutorial has been updated to include information about the Stock and Record Rack refills so it’s worth playing the tutorial, but you can easily manage without the tutorial. New features Stock display on Top menu bar. Record Rack Refill system. Fixes and adjustments Top menu bar reorganization. Fixed the situation whe…

  • A new Store Simulation and Universal Render Pipeline integration. - 14 July 2022

I’ve been working on two large updates for the last nine days. A major update to the store simulation and integrating the unity universal rendering pipeline. The Store Simulation One major part of the game is the story simulation and as the game evolves the store simulation has to adapt to take into account the news features that are being introduced. As a result, the code can begin to look quite messy. During these last few days, the simulation code got cleaned up and some new code was introduced to make the simulation results more accurate. The Universal Rendering Pipeline. To create this game, I am using a real-time development platform called Unity and to access newer functionality, the whole game rendering pipeline had to be updated. This is now completed. User Interface. With more and more information getting added to the interface, it’s time to slowly move away from the original…

  • Mid week update – Tons of little things. - 22 June 2022

Hi everyone! We have a small update for you today! I’ve been mostly working on small enhancements here and there like planning the night and day cycle, testing the night staff mechanics, doing art tests for the background, trying out different turntable style, adding a new counter, tweaking some simulation, changing the employee salary, adding a new splash screen setup. ( To be enhanced later.) I’ve also been working on some new core elements which will be featured in a later build. ( I have a good list of things I want to add to the game once the game loop feels more solid. ) The most noticeable addition today might be the subgenre selection menu which now displays the stock amount. Still, here is a list of things you will find in this build. - Tweaks in the simulation. - Fixes in the loading and saving system. - Night Staff adjustments. - Night and Day cycle ( the sun goes down, etc..…

  • Mid-week game update – Your progress is now being saved! - 15 June 2022

Hi all, this midweek update features our biggest code addition yet : a fully functioning auto-saving and loading system! Here it is in detail, everything featured in this new build : Saving system. While this new saving system has been tested and should work perfectly, it still needs some testing to make sure the code works 100% of the time. This should take an additional week. Please note : • Issues can only occur over multiple sessions and not during a single play through. • At anytime you can use the reset button to start a new game. Progress Graphs. Graphs have been added to keep track of your customers, profits and album sales. This is a great way to visually see the results of your marketing efforts / spending. At the same time, we took the opportunity to tweak the marketing so the results are more visible. Daily Results. The Daily Results page has been redesigned to be easier to…

With the help of Baphomet, bring back Heavy Metal to its former glory by managing a Vintage Record store using the power of the occult...eh...like...Record Store Tycoon meets the Number of the Beast.

About this game

With the help of Baphomet, bring back Heavy Metal to its former glory by managing a Vintage Record store using the power of the occult...eh...like...Record Store Tycoon meets the Number of the Beast. Become the owner of Vintage Record from Hell and experience this unique store manager, tycoon-type gaming extravaganza for yourself. Prepare to stock up on current heavy metal subgenres, upgrade your store, interact with the local misfits and use the dark arts to bring heavy metal to the top of the charts! The game is a day-by-day experience where you buy heavy metal record subgenres based on current trends, manage your inventory, your marketing, your staff, and make crucial daily decision on where to focus your energy. Organizing records? Helping out cashiers? Walking around as a human billboard...or worshipping the devil. A disappearance. A sacrificial site. A blood-drawn pentacle. Are these the vestige of a ritual gone wrong? It doesn’t matter, Baphomet himself needs your help. Pop music is plaguing the airwaves, humanity is at a loss and the horned god needs you to bring back heavy metal to its former glory. He needs you to open the Gates of Hell in your own record store so that every man, woman, child, and everything in between is converted into a devoted Heavy Metal disciple. If that doesn’t sound like a noble cause, I don’t know what does. As the store manager, you will need to learn to negotiate vinyl record prices based on the clients’ Karma and the overall market trends. Build your own collection of rare vinyl records from different Heavy Metal subgenre ranging from Grindcore to Glam Metal to Death Metal. Add Prestige to your establishment by upgrading record racks, counters, painting walls and adding tile...all this to attract a higher-paying clientele. Keep your record racks filled with the latest heavy metal subgenre trends and adapt your inventory so you don’t end up with stock no one is looking for. Witness as local events from the Heavy Metal scene appears in the local newspaper and influence album sales and can even turn a poorly praised album into a collector’s wet dream. Carefully plan out your marketing campaigns with flyers, newspaper ads or r…

Price History Overview

USD uses SteamPulse's own locally recorded daily store snapshots, so this overview reflects the exact regional price history that SteamPulse has captured for this currency.

Coverage And Tracking Window

  • Snapshots: 1
  • Coverage: Sep 22, 2026 to Sep 22, 2026
  • Lowest observed: $14.99
  • Highest observed: $14.99

Vintage Records from Hell's USD price history spans from Sep 22, 2026 to Sep 22, 2026, with 1 recorded snapshot across 1 calendar day. Each row records the available final price, listed base price, and discount metadata for that observation. Within this coverage the lowest recorded price is $14.99, the highest is $14.99, and the first visible tracked price is $14.99. These comparisons apply only to the snapshots SteamPulse holds; missing observations can contain changes that are not represented here.

For USD, SteamPulse uses locally captured regional storefront snapshots and does not reconstruct older prices with exchange-rate conversion. The chart and table show the values recorded for this exact currency from the stated coverage start. Additional snapshots extend that record, but they do not fill unobserved days or prove what the storefront displayed between observations.

Discount Windows And Sale Timing

  • Discount windows: 0
  • Discounted days: 0 days
  • Deepest markdown: No discount tracked
  • Latest sale window: No sale window tracked

Vintage Records from Hell's tracked USD rows do not contain a discount window. This means no available snapshot in the stated coverage has usable discount metadata; it does not prove that the game was never discounted. Missing snapshots or archived rows without complete metadata can hide a sale, so SteamPulse does not infer pricing strategy from this absence.

If a later snapshot includes discount metadata, it will appear here with its recorded depth, price, date, and sale name when available. Until then, this section should be read only as a description of the available rows, not as evidence about the publisher's promotion policy.

Observed Price Changes And Stable Runs

  • Observed price drops: 0
  • Observed price rises: 0
  • Longest stable run: 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking
  • Current run: 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking

Outside rows carrying discount metadata, the tracked price has not recorded a separate price rise or drop yet. That means the observed undiscounted level has stayed stable across the snapshots SteamPulse currently holds. This is a statement about the recorded coverage only; it does not prove that an older or missing price change never happened.

The longest unchanged price stretch in the current record lasts 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking at $14.99, from Sep 22, 2026 through Sep 22, 2026. Among rows without discount metadata, the longest unchanged run lasts 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking at $14.99. The latest run records $14.99 for 1 day of uninterrupted daily tracking as the same recorded undiscounted price. Run lengths describe consecutive stored observations only and do not establish that a price is permanent.

Latest Snapshot And Sales Context

  • Current price: $14.99
  • Current list price: $14.99
  • Distinct observed prices: 1
  • Source mode: SteamPulse local tracking

The latest tracked snapshot records Vintage Records from Hell at $14.99 in USD, with no active discount metadata. Across the available history SteamPulse has recorded 1 distinct final price in this currency. This supports comparisons with the lowest, highest, and most common values present in the retained record, subject to the stated coverage limits.

The live sales view and Steam sales record provide calendar context for these dates. A date overlap can be compared with a named Steam event, but it does not prove why a publisher changed a price. As new daily rows arrive, this overview recalculates its observed prices, discount windows, and run lengths automatically.
