• March 17, 2025 Update - 18 March 2025

  This update includes the ability to hard drop the blocks with either the space bar or H key. This was requested by Steam reviewer "NidoAllFather" who suggested it. User "Kalycho" echoed the same thing. Also, a simple help screen has been added to the title screen. Press H for help and it will tell you about the controls. The hard drop feature should make the game play feel faster and more satisfying for those players who felt that it was too slow. I would also like to respond to the review by user "Obey the Fist!". The truth is that the bad graphics is both because of my lack of skill and also the game was designed to look like it was made in the 1980s because that was the time period when Tetris was both created and published to the world. I also designed it to be extremely light and fast even on less powerful computers. Theoretically, it could probably run on a computer of the 80s or…

• DLL files included - 5 May 2024

  I got a comment on YouTube: --- @raaptex 1 hour ago Hi, I tried to run the game with Steam but nothing happened, and when I try manually it says that I don't have the SDL2.dll, I think you need to add them to the build folder --- This update includes the DLL files that it depends on. As the developer I have them in my path but forgot to include last time! So sorry about that!

  Hello everyone! I am publishing the long overdue update to my game. This is built with SDL instead of the original Raylib. This should make things work smoother for all Steam users! When I made my game originally my best knowledge was with Raylib but over time I have come to see that SDL really is the best media library I have found. I hope that you will find this one pleasing because it has all the music of the original, but it also launches faster and should consume less memory than the previous version!

• New T Block Mode - 3 March 2023

  Entering -tgirl as a command line argument results in only T blocks being given. It's just like -longboi is for I blocks

• movelog corrections - 18 February 2023

  If you've played this game. You'll know that accurate movelogs and replays are what make it special. I fixed some errors about the fact that the movelog couldn't rewind because it wrote to a file and there was no way to truncate it if you loaded to a previous state. Therefore, it now only saves the movelog after the game loop ends. It keeps it entirely in memory during the game. This makes sure it is always the correct size and is perfectly compatible with the Lua version recently released on itch.io.

• Added a song - 2 February 2023

  This update includes some music credits and adjustments to meet the terms of use for OC Remix because all 3 songs in the game are from there and I can legally use them as long as I give the artists credit. The license file is included if you view the files which are installed. Also, I made the tracks cycle automatically rather than stopping all music after the end of a song.

• November 2 2022 Update - 2 November 2022

  I added T Spin Triple support to Chaste Tris. Only T blocks are allowed to do this stupid rotation to match SRS rotation rules. However, all other blocks remain the same. • Center Playing Field Update - 9 June 2022

  For a few important reasons, I have changed the Tetris field to be in the center of the window. First, this is the way it has been done in literally every other Tetris game I have played. Second, I noticed that most preview videos on TikTok show the center of the video and not the sides. This makes all my own gameplay videos of Chaste Tris hard to tell apart. So I am correcting my previous error. Also, I added a scrolling checkerboard animation to the right of the field because it is my favorite pattern!
