- Development Update – Getting Closer to Release - 4 July 2026
I've finally decided to write a development update about how things are going with my detective prosecutor simulator set in the totalitarian medieval state of Nadragia. First, I'd like to talk about the game's core features - the things I've spent so much time working on - and then move on to the development process and the current results. The Core Features of Laws of Nadragia:Real-time search for contradictionsUnlike other courtroom games, Laws of Nadragia never highlights suspicious statements in green or tells you which testimony contains a contradiction. In other words, the game never tells you whether someone is lying.Instead, it's up to you to examine every statement made by witnesses, lawyers, and defendants, comparing what they say against the available facts and laws.I've always found it a little strange that many detective games directly ask the player "Which part of this test…

We are finishing the last animation of the 2nd game day (yes, yes - only the second, because it introduces many new characters and mechanics used in the rest of the game). All the other content of the 2nd game day - courts, dialogues, character abilities, animations, etc. - is ready.,I'm preparing for a closed test on day 2 among my friends: I need to find if it's too difficult to solve court cases or too easy, and whether it's interesting at all.,Also, I'm finishing up the court cases of the 3rd game day, some of the new characters of the 3rd day have already been drawn. There are currently 6 days planned, with 3 cases each.,I'm currently programming the Intro Cutscene animations. - Major update of the demo version: Voice acting, animations, bugs - 3 March 2025
Dear ladies and gentlemen, members of the Supreme Collegium! I have amazing news for you: The Laws of Nadragia will have partial character voiceover! Yes-yes, you heard it right: Each character now has a large set of lines and emotions to accompany his speech. For this, 9 different speakers in Russian and English were involved in order to show the character and mood of the characters as amazingly and authentically as possible. The voice acting has been going on in parallel with the development of the game over the past 8 months and, hopefully, will add even more drama to the court cases! The demo version update I have updated the demo version and all the characters in the new demo version are already partially voiced. For those who haven't completed the demo version yet, now is the time to give it a try! Below I attach an example of phrases from a pair of characters: Other changes: Adde…
- Demo-version update! - 16 May 2024
I've updated the demo on Steam. Finally, the plugin that printed the text has been fixed, and the demo version has been updated. If you're interested, please play it, and if you find any bugs, let me know! Although, if you've already played the demo, you don't need to play it again - there are no new cases in it. Here are the changes: The portraits of the characters have been enlarged during the dialogue outside the courtroom. The interface has been updated: The "Continue" button is now in the center, and it will remind you to think carefully before clicking on it during the trial. There are additional options to choose from in the dialogues now, not just "continue" (although they only appear a few times in the demo). In the main game, this multiple choice option will happen more often. When you give the correct answer in court, beautiful stars will fly away with a cool sound. We've cre…

Ladies and Gentlemen, colleagues, members of the Supreme Collegium of Nadragia! On this fateful day, we are pleased to present to your eyes a demo version of the Laws of Nadragia, a game about Aiden Fair, who was forced to become a prosecutor. Important information before starting your work: According to the best Nadragian analysts, it may take you 1~2 hours to complete the demo version, depending on your playing style. In the demo version, you will be able to immerse yourself in the first day of the young prosecutor's work: get to know your colleagues, prisoners, and participate in the first 3 trials. The results of your demo playthrough will be saved and at the release of the main game you will be able to continue from where you left off. The demo version…

In the demo version, you can start your journey for a simple bastard - Aiden Fair, who received the non-repudiable honor of becoming a prosecutor in our new state. Aiden will have a hard time on his way: many bandits and enemies of the state will be executed thanks to his work. But we at the supreme collegium believe that he will meet our expectations. Well... Or he'll end up on the gallows himself, ha-ha! The demo version will be the first working day of the new prosecutor, and its passage will presumably take you from 1 to 2 hours (depending on your style of play). At the mome…
- The Demo is coming! - 1 August 2023
Good day, prosecutor! We are glad to inform you that the work on the demo is in full swing. At this moment our best artist is finishing animated images creation. According to our data, there are still 5 animated characters left with several animations each. Our animator is spending a lot of time scrupulously drawing each frame, pixel by pixel. We are also glad to inform you, prosecutor, that the dialogues and story for the first 3 cases (that will be included in the free demo) were successfully written and translated. The Music, UI and sounds were created and implemented. Game mechanics were tested and polished. Expect a demo to arrive in the upcoming months. And be careful, prosecutor: the choices you will make in the demo will affect the main game.
