- Crow Country turns One Year Old! Improved Keyboard Controls! - 9 May 2025
Hello everyone! One year ago today, my brother Adam and I launched Crow Country here on Steam, and we were blown away by the response! We've been a 2-person company for nearly 13 years now, and have been making games together for over 20 years, but this has been our most successful year by far. So many people playing, sharing, streaming, recommending and reviewing the game, all around the world, has given us a huge boost of energy to take into our next games, so: thank you. OK, on to the good stuff! One of the pieces of feedback we've received, here on Steam and elsewhere, is that the keyboard controls for Crow Country aren't as good as they could be. So I've been working to bring them up to the level of the gamepad controls (still our recommended way to play for now!). That starts with a new default layout, which we've labelled CLASSIC in the settings. We took a good hard look at what…

- New update adds Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, plus optimisation! - 16 October 2024
Hello everyone! We've just released an update to the game that adds the promised new languages: Italian Japanese Korean Simplified Chinese Traditional Chinese We've also spent the last few months working hard on optimising the game, both for faster loading times and better performance. That means it'll run better on lower end machines, and even use less battery on the Steam Deck. We've had good reason to go after optimisation this strongly: we've also just launched Crow Country on Nintendo Switch! Plus, in just 6 days time, we'll be releasing on PS4. Like I said, Adam and I have been busy. And finally, a little teaser of some more exciting news coming very soon... What could it all mean...? Not long to wait! As always, thank you so much for your support for Crow Country, it's what's gotten us through the last few months. The updates aren't done, so stay tuned for more news! Tom & Adam
- New languages and optimisation coming October 16th! - 2 October 2024
Hello everyone! Ever since launch in May, after we finished adding the Murder Of Crows hard mode to the game and ironing out bugs, Adam and I have been working on a big new update that adds new languages, and brings a whole heap of performance improvements! We're now finally ready to announce that the update will release on October 16th! That same day, we'll also be launching on Nintendo Switch and PS4, so it'll be a busy one for us! The new languages are: -Italian -Japanese -Korean -Simplified Chinese -Traditional Chinese As for performance, lower end computers and laptops should see framerate improvements across the whole game, and all computers should see an improvement in loading times between scenes. We have a few more surprises in store this month too, so look forward to news coming soon... See you October 16th! Tom-
- You should try Crow Country, the Silent Hill style horror rated 98% - 14 August 2024
On the surface, Crow Country is an appeal to nostalgia in the same way as Dusk or the recent crop of modernized boomer shooters. With a quasi-fixed camera, fuzzy, polygonal visuals, and mechanics lifted from old-school Resident Evil and Silent Hill, it appears, at a glance, like a calculated appeal to your gaming memories - it's even set in the '90s. But there's a smart wrinkle in the setup, a little narrative twist that I won't spoil, that lends Crow Country a more cynical, subversive edge when it comes to the idea of skipping back in time. Rightly beloved on Steam, SFB's plucky survival horror game is now cheaper than ever alongside five other recent genre hits. Read the rest of the story...
