-NEW! We've updated the game's cameras to focus on the character dynamically when moving around instead of being at a fixed point in most areas. This prevents the character being out of screen and causing possible out of bounds which made transitions between cameras difficult to navigate. This has negated the use of the fallback cam so it has been removed. New! -We've added the film grain effect which was missing before. -We've added minor bloom effects to add more contrast to blacks than before, and to shine brighter on objects and monsters. -The flashlight will now add bloom and add refraction when bouncing off metallic surfaces. -Graphics fidelity has been heavily improved in this patch. You'll notice better lighting, shadows and High Dynamic Range (If using a supported monitor and GPU). We've made some important quality of life feature changes and fixed some bugs in the game. More notably, pressing and holding 'C' during gameplay can toggle the Shoulder Cam which gives you free movement in game if the player is off-screen and 'stuck' between a camera transition. This helps see where you are in the game if this happens. By releasing C and moving to the next camera transition the game will return to it's normal view. This should help prevent scenarios where the player is essentially 'stuck' if they can't return to the next camera shot. Also, we have fixed some progression bugs that could occur along with improving core game performance.

We've added full support to SPIRITUS for macOS 13 (Ventura) and above, meaning you can now play on Windows, macOS, and Linux/SteamOS! SPIRITUS is optimized for Apple M1 (and above), but is also compatible with older Intel chips.

The 1.0 release is finally here! After over a year of development, the initial release of SPIRITUS is complete. Specifically this release changes the following; -The Intro Cinematic has been updated to be slightly shorter and includes the new voice overs of Albert and Rose. -The Lab Cinematic has been updated to include the new voice overs. -The Train Cinematic has been updated to include the new voice overs. -The Cemetery Cinematic has been updated to include the new voice overs. -Added voice overs when reading important files. -Updated ending cinematic. -Drastically improved performance between loading scenes and assets. -Game size reduced by 50% with high compression applied to also reduce memory usage. Going forward we will continously improve on the game with regular patches and bug fixes when needed. We thank you all for being part of the Early Access journey for SPIRITUS!

-We've fixed the knife from not appearing in Rose's hand when equipping it, making it look as if she is attacking with just her hands. We've also fixed her attack hitbox so attacks land on monsters properly now. -We've fixed the flashlight model from not appearing on Rose. It will now appear properly when equipped. -Fixed lighting effects on Rose's hands with flashlight.
