- Enzio-Ware v2.4.3-EA released - 22 August 2026
Bug FixesThe game should now properly allow you to boot into offline mode if you are detected as offline.Internal ChangesThe game’s log now prints a bit more information regarding save file stuff to help us diagnose issues better. The prior release was loading some data related to the cutscene engine, while it should not have caused errors, we have removed this code for the time being. What’s Next?We are currently trying to diagnose an issue that can cause the game to fail to load something in save files at start up. If this update does not fix said issue, expect the next update to continue to attempt to either fix this, or print more verbose information. Additionally, we need to update the boot-up error screen to handle more situations. Currently it was only able to handle failing to connect to the remote config, and being offline entirely, the latter of which wasn’t actually functioning…
- Enzio-Ware v2.4.2-EA released - 17 August 2026
Quality of Life UpdatesThe following fixes aim to make story mode less frustrating if you lose.If you get a Game Over, you will now see a proper Game Over screen when the curtains close. On this screen you can either return to the main menu, or directly retry the episode. We are genuinely sorry this took so long to get added, if you asked prior to last week I genuinely woulda told you this was already a feature, huge oversight on my part. You can skip the new-style cutscenes with the fast forward button. In the future, we will also add a confirm button to ensure you cannot accidentally skip.Additionally, the fast forward button’s text will be updated to skip whenever I find the file I made the buttons in.If the fast forward button’s original functionality is missed, we will bring it back in future updates. The Ambassador Certificate is now automatically granted to the DRM-free version of t…
- Enzio-Ware Linux Beta now available for testing - 28 April 2026
Hello Everyone! In the changelog for v2.4.1-ea I briefly mentioned we were trying to get a linux build out, and I'm happy to announce that you can now opt in to the "linux-beta" branch!!Warning anyone interested in this up-front that I have not had a chance to actually test this on the Steam Deck yet, and will probably not be able to do so until the weekend at the earliest (And even then me and my partner are adopting a cat this week so it'll probably be a bit)Please use the Feedback form or contact us on bluesky/by email if you have any feedback on this build you'd like to pass on!!! I've added some questions specifying platform and game version to the form too.Enzio-Ware Feedback FormFuture Plans for Enzio-Ware on Linux/Steam DeckAs much as I do not like the Steam Deck, if I conclude that the touch pads/touch screen are sufficient enough for the game's gameplay, we will likely create a…
- Enzio-Ware v2.4.1-EA released - 24 April 2026
Microgame Additions“The Destiny of Polly” has been added to Polly’s episodeUnless I’ve forgotten one, this is the only microgame that is not solvable without knowledge from places in the game outside of the microgame. My hope is that because there’s only 5 pairings, you will learn quickly enough for it to not affect a high-score run.“Rotten Heresy” has been added to Polly’s episodePolly hypnotizes Kendra into buying him virtual currency“The Ants😡🐜 “ has been added to Arthur’s episodeDon’t askIf you’ve been keeping track, we are now at 10 microgames for each character! There is one more for Polly in the works, and we will likely end up adding more in the future, but we’ve finally reached that initial goal of 10 per episode!!!Gameplay ChangesThe following microgames saw a change to the amount of rounds played in Story Mode before hitting the bossArthur - Increased from 10 to 20Polly - I…
- Enzio-Ware v2.4.0-EA Released! - 13 February 2026
Hello everyone! Today we have released Enzio-Ware v2.4.0-EA. This update fixes SO MANY bugs, alongside moving us super close to getting the game out of early access.Cutscene OverhaulHecate’s Episode has been updated to the new cutscene system! Please be aware, her outro specifically is missing some CG right now and flows awkwardly because of it (A decent portion of the outro is characters mentioning things happening off-screen in almost no detail because it was written assuming you would be seeing it lol )Microgame Additions“Golem Bounce” has been added to Kendra’s episodeBounce on the spinning heads of defeated golems to take the coins they have for... some reason... Hey where’s my wallet!?With this, Kendra has reached 10 microgames. (This includes the microgame “Shout!” which will not appear in the rotation if a microphone is not detected)Ambassador Certificate AdditionsAs promised a l…
- Enzio-Ware v2.3.1-EA released! - 10 February 2026
Hello everyone! Today we have released Enzio-Ware v2.3.1-EA! These patch notes will also go over v2.3.0-EA as I forgot to write patch notes when it was released last month! If you see a "*" next to anything that indicates it is from today's patch (2.3.1-EA)New Microgames"BabeGPT" has been added to Arthur's Episode!*Arthur's date is texting him some pretty difficult to answer questions, luckily with the help of BabeGPT a sophisticated "AI" has generated the perfect response. Unfortunately Arthur is using the LITE version of BabeGPT, requiring him to guess each 5-letter word within 3 tries :(Incase this even needs to be said, no ai is used anywhere in this microgame. I usually don't explain the context behind each microgame but this one admittedly has a lot of layers to it.This microgame currently has no time limit. If this doesn't mesh well I will try and mess with it to make a 10-second…
- Enzio-Ware v2.2.2-EA (Security Patch) - 4 October 2025
Hello everyone! We have released a patch for Enzio-Ware to patch out a security vulnerability identified with the Unity Engine. As a result of this vulnerability, we have also had to disable all archive branches (hopefully we will be able to distribute patched archives at a later date, it depends on if I can get my hands on the builds as unfortunately some of them never got backed up internally). This version is not a new build, merely a patched version of the prior build. I have started the process of upgrading Enzio-Ware to a newer version of the editor. As a progress update, everyone was busy as hell last month. Hecate's episode is technically updated to the new cutscene system, but I'm considering fully rewriting it as I don't like where its at right now. Circumstances also require us to rethink the story for the game's epilogue. I apologize for how slow development has gotten, and…
- v2.2.1-EA Patch notes - 2 September 2025
Hello everyone! Today we have released Enzio-Ware v2.2.1-EA! (Not to be confused with 2.2.-1-EA, this one is not a negative release)Feature Preview: MagicshopFirst there were barbershops, then beautyshops, now Hecate has pioneered a brand new invention: the Magicshop! (please don’t kill me if barbershops came second) The Magicshop is a new addition to the accessories application on the Enzio-System. Using it, you can customize your very own Enzio-System!! Either use the in-game tools, or import one you make yourself using the template linked below! Please follow the TOS.ES Template Using In-Game tools, you color and paint on the system and buttons individually. You have access to a simple pen-brush, alongside stickers of the various treasures and commemorative photos you’ve collected!Using the external template, we have provided all layers, but at the end we’ll only ask you for the coll…
- Enzio-Ware v2.2.0.0-EA Full Patch Notes! - 7 August 2025
Today we have released Enzio-Ware v2.2.0.0-EA! That’s right! No more negative version numbers! This update still is missing sound for stuff (it is being actively worked on now) but that was for the sake of not delaying this update any further! Our original promise was that 2.2.0-EA would update Carmy and Kendra to the new cutscene system, however we actually had everything necessary to update Arthur and Polly too!! Surprise!! These patch notes cover some aspects of the previously released negative-numbered 2.2.0-EA versions to make sure all bases are covered. Such things are denoted in underlined text Cutscene RevisionsCarmy, Arthur, Kendra, and Polly’s cutscenes now use the visual-novel style cutscene system. All of these cutscenes mostly play out like the old versions, but with new narration and revised dialogue, as with Sam’s, these will likely continue to see touch-ups in future upda…
- Enzio-Ware v2.2.-1.0-EA:01RE released! - 21 July 2025
Today we have released Enzio-Ware v2.2.-1.0-EA:01RE. That is "version two point two point negative one point zero dash early access colon zero one RE". Version 2.2.0-EA will release in full at a later date.Cloud Save ChangesThis is in regards to Unity Cloud Save NOT Steam Cloud Save. The game now prioritizes your local save over your cloud save, but does still back it up.Eventually we will add in a button to let you manually download the backup. As for why it was removed, it risked major progress loss if you were playing offline, and there wasn’t much of a reason for it to exist once we added in Steam Cloud Saves. We also discovered that it just wasn’t uploading the cloud save sometimes. If this breaks anything please email [email protected] and I can manually try and restore your save to the way it was before.PLC-Dia Revamp! The PLC-Dia has been re-designed from the ground up to lo…
- Enzio-Ware v2.2.-1-EA:01 Patch Notes - 12 July 2025
Today we have released Enzio-Ware v2.2.-1-EA:01. To be clear, that is pronounced “version two point two point negative one dash Early Access colon zero one”; v2.2.0-EA will release properly at a later datePreview EventCutscene UpdateKendra’s INTRO cutscene has been updated to the new VN system. It is roughly 90% complete, barring a stock photo used in a background and will likely get its writing revised before 2.2.0’s proper release. Please be aware that Guy Bushell is an existing, recurring character and not a temporary stock photo. He was previously displayed silhouetted in this episode, and still appears silhouetted in episodes not yet converted to the new cutscene system. If you’ve played the game before you may have already seen him lurking in a microgame or two(Preview of CG made for Enzio’s episode revision ft. Guy Bushell)Visual ChangesChanged Mat (from the DMV)’s design, but it’s…
- Enzio-Ware v2.2.-1-EA Released - 27 June 2025
Today we have released Enzio-Ware v2.2.-1-EA. To be clear, that is a negative one; v2.2.0-EA will release properly at a later date, adding sound to the things we added this update, and updating Kendra and Carmy to the new progression system, which we need to get CG done in order to do.UI ChangesAnimations have been added to the text flashed before and after microgames. We have tested them all to try and ensure they are still readable, but please let us know if they act up on different resolutions!Progression ChangesIntroducing the GameYarrk! If a character’s episode is too difficult, you can enable it to have all losses count as wins in story mode. Please be aware that with this enabled, your high score will be set to 0 for the episode. The GameYarrk cannot be used in freeplay. Please use this liberally while we are in early accessQOL Features and ChangesBRIEF MODE can now be selected in…
- Enzio-Ware v2.1.4.0-EA Patch Notes - 1 June 2025
Enz-Mu backend changes The shop's backend has been changed so that it will generate a shop the first time someone requests it if there isn't a fully written one for the day. All dialogue for these shops is still pre-written, it just pulls from a pool of responses. We will still try and write shops every now and then, but there will be less focus on them now that the team is back in full-force and focused on improving gameplay. Enzio-Ware v2.2.0-EA will come very soon. Some of the changes are already visible in this build, but we will not acknowledge them until this is released. Please be aware that a couple microgames are disabled in this build.
- Enzio-Ware v2.1.3.3-EA patch notes - 24 May 2025
Added offline shop data for the rest of May.
- Enzio-Ware v.2.1.3.2-EA Patch Notes - 22 May 2025
New Additions Added "Träumerei" microgame to Polly's episode Updated true credits with some new names Bug Fixes Fixed an issue with the pixel shader that may have resulted in certain models showing up as pink This technically wasn't part of this patch but the Cloud Content Delivery build has been updated, having noticed the shopkeeper portrait wasn't loading. I have no clue how long this was like this but I definitely misunderstood when I have to update that I guess, will make sure to do it with each update going forward so this doesn't happen again. Many of our team members have graduated college, and we have gained a few new members too, so we are back in full force for now! Also as an FYI we have deleted out twitter! The best places to reach us remain our bluesky or to email [email protected]!!
- Enzio-Ware v2.1.3.1-EA Patch Notes - 10 May 2025
Fixed a bug where the cars in Kendra's boss microgame moved before it actually started and were able to kill the player immediately. This bug was related to a change made when adding the game speed modifier. We are hoping this is the only microgame like this (made almost a year ago as part of the initial prototype), but we'll be testing them all individually at a later date (the entire team is either busy with school or actively graduating rn lol). If you notice any other microgames with important things moving before the countdown ends, please email [email protected] or DM us on bluesky, it'll save some headache.
- Enzio-Ware v2.1.3.0-EA Patch notes - 9 May 2025
This patch solely adds offline data for upcoming Enz-Mu rotations and necessary assets for the new items.
- Enzio-Ware v.2.1.2.0-EA - 26 April 2025
“Password” distribution system change Password distributions are now checked via an online server instead of being downloaded at the start of the game. This should hopefully enable anyone experiencing the bug with remote config to access distributions in real time now. Via the new system, we are also now able to host limited distributions that should (hopefully) have private passwords. We don’t have anything specific in mind (nor planned) but the main reason I wanted to add this is to open up the possibility of charity rewards; since it would be functional alongside the DRM free versions of the game. (Unless this game were to suddenly have a high player count it probably won’t get used for this) As long as no issues come up with this system, we will also convert the shops to be server based so that we no longer have to push updates solely to store local copies. (The daily shop will cont…
- Enzio-Ware v2.1.1.0-EA - 7 April 2025
New Microgames! Peel Carrot: In this microgame, you are tasked with peeling carrots as if they were bananas. Chop Pecan: Carmy is controlling the wind to make a knife spin around, stop it in the correct position to successfully chop the Pecan in half. Grease Pan: Rub butter on a pan to coat it. The butter expires 10 seconds after being exposed to air though, so you gotta be quick! Decorate Cake: Cooking is all about matching the picture on the box, even if everything else tells you not to do that. Slide the cake layers around to match the image on the top screen. Crack Egg: You must crack one singular egg without it shattering. Go slow… While Carmy’s episode is now at the ideal number of 10 microgames, there are a couple others we brainstormed that may get added in the future if they don’t get used in other episodes. New Use For Music Tracks! You can now override the music track when in…
- Enzio-Ware v2.1.0.2-EA Patch Notes - 31 March 2025
This patch fixes an issue where content on the bottom screen would sometimes be rendered as a black screen. Genuinely sorry for this going live, we didn't think to retest all the microgames cause nothing should've changed with them. The material they use somehow became the child of another material and started pointing to the wrong texture.
