Greetings Junkyard Warriors! The new game mode Harvest Reloaded has finally been completed and is out as of this writing! In this new game mode your goal is to defend multiple mines from your competitor's army of drones as you mine the junkyard. The game mechanics and UI have been reworked heavily. Be sure to check out the tutorial for all the details! In addition, 4 towers have been added to the game! First up we have the slagger. It sprays a stream of acid and inflicts a burning effect on enemies that lasts several seconds after they travels out of range. It's on the cheaper side so a good early game tower. The arc thrower is a bit more powerful, being able to continuously attack up to 3 enemies at once! Great for intersections and choke points. The rocket tower launches a rocket that gleefully destroys packs of enemies! Good for placement near sharp corners where enemies tend to bunc…
- Harvest Reloaded - July Update - 25 July 2022
Greetings Junkyard Warriors! The Harvest Reloaded game mode was announced 2 weeks ago. Since then there's been some major changes! The UI has been overhauled to include better graphics and a game speed adjustment for those of you with machines that bring the power! Better path graphics have been introduced as well. So far no changes on towers and enemies - yet! All 3 enemy and 5 tower types from the base game mode have been ported over. In addition as of this writing 4 additional tower types are slated to be added, so keep an eye out for future updates! Some changes have also been made to the way mines operate. Instead of harvesting trash piles directly, mines harvest cells of trash - which are what the green icons surrounding the mine represent. The red icons around the mine represent trash cells destroyed by enemies. For easier recognition of areas being mined, borders were added. ETA…

Greetings Junkyard Warriors! First off, I'd like to thank the players who have provided feedback and suggestions for this game. This is the first game I've ever developed and am always looking to improve things. Speaking of suggestions, something I've noticed players requesting is additional content. Fortunately another game mode (or rather extension of the base game mode) is in the works! Improvements to the game engine have been made to allow bigger maps to be generated, towers and enemies to be more easily added, and improved efficiency which will make the new game mode possible. In the new game mode, Harvest Reloaded, you'll have to manage and defend multiple mines from an endless onslaught of enemies as you clear the map, just like the base game mode.
