- Announcing Stillmere - 4 September 2026
A New Journey Begins Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I wrote one of these, but I wanted to share what I’ve been working on next.My new game, Stillmere, now has an official Steam page! This is a very different kind of experience from my previous games. It’s an open-world survival crafting game set deep within an isolated wilderness, where the goal is to slowly turn a difficult beginning into a life you’ve built for yourself. This is your story. Stillmere is still being developed primarily as a solo project, and I plan to continue expanding it throughout Early Access with more locations, items, crafting, decorations, wildlife, progression, and other content. The game is still evolving, and what you see today won’t be the final version of Stillmere. If it sounds like something you’d enjoy, you can check out the new trailer and wishlist Stillmere on Steam. Thank you to everyone wh…
- For What Will Come: Reimagined Price Adjustments - 15 May 2026
Hey Everyone! Over the course of the couple months, I have taken in feedback, thought about the future. I have decided to drop the price for the reimagined version from 14.99 USD to 4.99 USD. The increase of this price was originally supposed to make up for the fact that the original game was set to free to play. But with that I have read some peoples feedback and I appreciate every single one of you who has said something. With that said, I can't say what the future hold's but I have had a busy couple of months so I apologize for the lack of transparency. Best, Fitzy

- Bought the Remake? Guide to Launching it! - 7 September 2025
Hey All! It's hard to imagine that it's been 2 weeks since the launch of the remake, that being said. I noticed a lot of people accidentally playing the original For What Will Come instead of the Reimagined version. Here is a little guide on how to do so! Make sure you have the DLC downloaded Upon purchasing the remake, it might not download automatically, you will need to manually select the dlc and download it. 1. Right-click the game in your steam library, and select Properties. Go under the 'DLC' Tab and make sure the dlc is checked as seen below. 2. Select the launch option. Then under the general tab, select 'Ask When Starting Game' as shown in picture below. This will allow you to select between the Original and the Re-imagined before launching the game. Or you can simply just select What version you prefer to launch. Best, Fitzy Emberwave Studios

- A Moment She Always Returned To. - 26 June 2025
Sometimes it’s not about solving the mystery. Sometimes it’s about remembering who you were before it all began.Abby used to come here to think. Before the noise. Before everything unraveled. The birds still sing. The world still hums like it remembers something we don't. The sky doesn’t know what happened. It’s peaceful, for now. She used to say this place made her feel safe.Maybe you’ll feel it too.You can get a hold of me either in steam discussions or on DISCORD —Fitzy Developer, Emberwave Studios
- SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS – Let's Talk Performance - 23 June 2025
Hey everyone,I wanted to take a moment to talk about something I’ve been spending a lot more time on lately: optimization. It's not exactly my greatest strength, but I’ve been putting in the effort to make For What Will Come run as smoothly as possible across a range of machines. That said, this is still a high-fidelity game built in Unreal Engine 5 with dynamic lighting and detailed environments. So while it might look like a smaller, story-driven experience, it does demand a bit more under the hood than you might expect. The image above shows the system requirements based on my internal testing setups. The minimum spec PC I’ve tested on is running an i7-8700 (non-K), RTX 2080, and a single stick of 16GB RAM, so not even dual-channel, which could explain some stuttering or slower load times. Even with that setup, the game hits around 60 FPS at medium settings with DLSS Quality enabled. B…
- I Don’t Know If This Will Reach You. - 18 June 2025
This wasn’t supposed to be here. And I don’t know if you’ll even see it.But if you do… please keep going. She’s somewhere inside - the girl who didn’t come back. They say it is broken, but maybe it’s memory that fractures first. There’s a house. You’ll know it when you’re close. Things won’t look wrong… but they’ll feel wrong. It remembers more than she does. More than we do.I’ve traced this hiccup so many times, I think I’m becoming part of it. But if someone new steps in - maybe that changes something. Maybe she’ll hear you.Or maybe you’ll just become another echo. Please don’t stop. Even if she already has.
- "Through New Eyes" 2025 Trailer - 13 May 2025
Hey everyone, I just updated the announcement trailer for For What Will Come: Reimagined! It’s the same trailer I originally put together, just brought up to date with the latest visuals, reworked areas, and final lighting from the current build. The old version didn’t really reflect how far the game has come, so I felt it was time to give it a proper refresh. Watch the updated trailer here: New screenshots are also live on the store page, showing off some of the areas that have been completely overhauled visually, including a few spots I hadn’t shown before. Why I Did It I didn’t want to wait for launch to start showing what the game actually looks like now. The old trailer was starting to feel a bit out of place next to where the game is today, so this was just a small step toward giving people a clearer picture of what to expect. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3182220/For_What_Wi…
- Reflecting on the Past, Building the Future - 26 April 2025
Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to talk directly to both longtime players and those just discovering For What Will Come for the first time. Most of this will be a repeat, but I feel that communication is necessary! Anyways, If you’ve played the original game or even just looked at the store page you’ve probably noticed it’s in a pretty rough state. And... yeah, that’s fair. It was my first ever publicly released game. I made it with limited experience, limited tools, and honestly, a whole lot of trial and error. Over time, the game files were corrupted and became unrecoverable, which meant I couldn't go back to fix the bugs, improve pacing, or add features the way I wanted to. That’s why I made the decision to set the original game to free it stands now as a frozen piece of what it was, flaws and all. I know the original version is the first thing people will see when they visit…

Hi Everyone! As we come closer and closer to the release (TBA) of For What Will Come: Reimagined, I have decided to make the original game completely free to play! The reimagined version will be a fully paid experience, featuring enhanced graphics, refined gameplay, and expanded content. It’s a complete overhaul of the original, crafted to deliver the immersive experience I always envisioned! A Note About the Original Version: While the original game is in a rough state, IT DOESN'T represent the quality or experience of the upcoming Reimagined version, I encourage you to give it a try if you’re curious. It’s best played in one sitting, as some technical limitations can make reloading saves tricky. Please keep in mind that the reimagined version is a complete overha…
