Full notes: - More objects are able to be walljumped off of, increasing freedom of movement across the level. - Beanstalk is now just a border that cannot be climbed on. - Roof was made inaccessible due to it being tedious to cross. Instead, a window was placed at the opposite end of the house to gain access to the backyard.

- Graphics Improvements, Bug Fixes and a New Song - 27 January 2025
Bringing Blockhead 2D back to you with another graphical improvement! I've decided to bring it back to old-school graphics in some respects and improve in different areas. I also subtracted a painting, then added one to the living room. The gym level also needed a goofy new song, so check it out in game to experience it! Here's some sneak peaks of what to expect for visuals! If you want to see more, check out the game! - Necessary Tutorial Update - 6 September 2023
I wanted to introduce some direction into the game, since a few of Blockhead 2D's mechanics weren't understandable. So, I made it so you must play through all 4 of the characters' tutorials in order to be able to play the rest of the game. Also, can you find old James and Jeb? Hey all, I'm back with a brand new Blockhead 2D update! Today's upload includes incredible CPU fixes! Every character in the singleplayer mode has their own unique strategy: James is tactical and careful with his movement, using his burps to push himself towards or away from you. Beware of his speedy MEGA BURP, which kills you if you're in the way. Jill is persistent and fast. She will chase you and if she inflicts damage, she won't stop. If Jill is injured, you'll contend with a scream that makes her even more aggressive. Jack is calculating and with every jump he ensures that he's a platform above; He is especially adept at jumping off the players' head to stomp them. When he is injured, you must keep a fair distance away to avoid his demonic screeching, which will kill you instantly if you're too close. - CPU Patch and Bug Fixes - 7 April 2023
Here's a new patch for Blockhead 2D! Things fixed: - Some CPU opponents weren't able to detect whether or not you were jumping, therefore continuously running into a wall. - Added more randomness to the taunts in the singleplayer mode. - Decreased Jill's jumping raycast, making her bounce less off of the players' head.

Top of the morning to ya! Help the Blockhead Family find the pot of gold in this new update. Beware however, for LEPRECHAUNZ will chase you down to protect his gold! Watch out! He throws whiskey bottles with incredible accuracy. Never stand still! Not only is he deadly with his alcoholic projectiles, getting close is no laughing matter. If he pokes you, you're dead! Also, unlike other updates, Leprechaunz speaks Gaelic to taunt the player. Happy Valentines day! For this loving venture, I have decided to make a heartfelt update to Blockhead 2D. Introducing...Cupid Hanz! He loves you to death and will send flurries of arrows to prove it! I also added all new camera effects for the special modes! - Level Extension: Bathroom! - 5 January 2023
Happy New Year, everyone! For the beginning of the year, I've decided to expand the level size even further with a bathroom! Do you think there should be a bedroom? Here are some peeks of the bathroom! This is a harder level to get around, as it does require more walljumping skill. There's even a secret in the sink drain... You can even flush the toilet! I also fixed some bugs! One of them, specifically, was that the "Start Server" button on the lobby screen didn't work for people who aren't the developer. Have a smashing fun time and a great year!
- Level Expansion: Kitchen - 24 December 2022
Today's new update is one to the splitscreen! Here, you'll be able to choose a level size, from 1-2 (a third size will come later). 1 is regular and 2 includes the brand-new kitchen expansion! Bounce off some sugary cereal boxes, block your opponent with a running faucet, or walk onto the stovetop to give a fiery boost! There will also be a price increase after the spring sale of next year! Sorry for any confusion on this, as I might have said that the game will have an increase after the winter sale. Hi there! Kyvati Studios is proud to present the musical update! From now on, you won't hear the same music for the Holiday minigames! The Pumpkin Smash, Turkey Slaughter and Santa Hanz's minigame, all have their own themes and sounds! Bug fixes: *The cameras in the splitscreen modes are now all the same. *Taunts in the special modes have been fixed, so now you can talk back to Hanz! *Jeb's super move fixed. *Fixed a bug where James couldn't burp. *Lighting fixes: The Halloween mode is completely dark, but the TV and pumpkins have their own light to guide you around the level. *Turkeys have enhanced AI script and will now completely disappear when you hit them, to avoid stacking. - Progress on the new Christmas update! - 7 December 2022
It's been awhile since I've posted anything, so here's some sneak peaks of the Christmas minigame for Blockhead 2D! This is Santa Hanz: You'll need to bounce on his head to get presents out of his bag! He's fast and likes to jump a lot, including on you! But he'll just hold you down; Hanz is too smol to hurt you. :) What would Christmas be without a tree? Every present you don't smash after you hit Santa's bag, goes under this tree! And of course, for this holiday decoration, an elf on the shelf! PS: There will be a price increase to $4.99 after Steam's Winter Sale. Be sure to get it now at its low price before it goes up!
