Bots arrived as an experimental Custom Games option at the start of this season, and today brings some updates to them. With this patch they're enabled by default in Custom Games, and they're a lot smarter. They need a clear view of a Weak Point before calling anyone out, they no longer loiter around Boris once they've voted, and they can vault and climb their way through a chase like the rest of you. Hosts can still switch Bots off in the Custom Game options, and Bots won't appear in public matchmaking.The main menu has also been updated, with a new layout for the Play screen, and we've fixed a batch of the issues you've reported since the season launched, including respawn problems, visibility in the Shroud Arena on Circus, and Terrors executing earlier than they should.PATCH NOTESIMPROVEMENTSBots are now enabled by default in Custom Games. A small update is now live, focused primarily on tightening up the Wild West and making several player actions feel less restrictive during movement.We've made a few changes to the Wild West layout to improve sightlines, reduce some of the quieter hiding spaces, and make the map feel a little more compact. A new update is now live. This one is primarily a bug fix pass, clearing out a batch of issues you've reported - skin display problems, a pistol fire rate exploit, respawn placement on Circus, and a range of map exploits. Alongside the fixes, announcements have had a pass to make the game communicate more clearly: they're now printed in chat so nothing gets missed, the bottom text has been removed, and a new announcement interrupts the one before it rather than queueing behind information that's already out of date. In-game chat also sticks around at night, Silence Mutation and Muzzles now properly stop voice lines and chat messages, and every ability wheel behaves consistently.We're keeping things tidy here because the team is deep in work on a much bigger update landing at the start of next season.
