• The Dancer Definitive Edition: Revolution has been cancelled. - 29 August 2023

  It's been a long time coming, but I've finally made the tough decision to cancel development on The Dancer: Definitive Edition's DLC, revolution. I feel like I have moved beyond the dancer as a whole, and I do not want to develop something that I believe to not be of the quality standards I now set for myself. This extra dev time will be spent working on Voidside Updates and a new game which is yet to be revealed. Thank you for your understanding.

  Are you ready for a challenge? The Last Dance (Part 2) Update brings in framework for new challenge modes for the game and will updated in the weeks to come with more and more content! Here's a brief summary of what's been added: Challenge System And you thought the encore modes were tough! The new challenge system introduces a menu that will hold all future challenges. These are separated into categories: Seasonal, and everything else. Later down the line I might add a super-secret third section too. So far there are 2 challenges: Spooky mode, and a new challenge: Chapter 1: Darkness Darkness Darkness is a pretty similar challenge to spooky mode, as it turns off all the lights in the Asylum!   The Dancer has come a long way since launch, and to celebrate that I'm releasing the Last Dance update in 3 parts. This first part adds some much needed QoL features such as a pause menu, whilst the next 2 parts will feature user-requested improvements. You can vote for changes here: Vote for new features! Please keep your expectations reasonably low, as I will be unable to implement larger features such as new chapters, but if you have any QoL requests those will be much more manageable. • The Dancer: Spooky Mode - 17 September 2022

  Hey there! For Halloween, the Dancer: Definitive Edition is getting it's very own 'Spooky Mode'! This mode switches up the Dancer: Retribution, removing the comforting light of the sun, and instead replacing it with.... nothing. With only a flashlight and your slowly-fading sanity, you have to try and make it through what is probably the most traumatic experience of my life. The game mode comes out on October 1st! I'm debating keeping the game mode as a permanent fixture, so please let me know what you think! That's all for now, I'm going to go contemplate my sanity - Spacepiano :D

• DDE Patch 1.2 - 28 August 2022

  This patch addresses some of the issues with the Encore update and upgrades the main menu (I seem to not be able to leave the menu alone lol) Added 'Chapter Select' Menu Panel Added 'Chapter X: Revolution' to the Chapter Select panel Fixed bug in C1 Encore, the player now collects the correct amount of keys Changed C2 Encore, the dancers can now chase you wherever you are on the map Started work on Revolution DLC I will rework C3 Encore and continue to tweak C1 and C2 Encore in future updates.   The Dancer: Definitive Edition | Encore update is now live! This major update adds in a new difficulty setting: Encore. These modes are the classic dancer chapters you know and probably hate, now with brutal twists! The Dancer 1: Encore The Asylum has tightened it's security. Collect 7 keys to Escape, but be warned, the dancer is still there and as terrifying as ever! The Dancer 2: Encore The Dancers have gotten over their homesickness! They can now chase you ANYWHERE on the map, not just in their houses. Are you up to the challenge? The Dancer 3: Encore You've forgotten your gun! Run from the hoard and try not to get caught, as you now have nothing to defend yourself with! Achievements Each new mode comes with one Steam achievement that you can show off to your friends.
