There have been no updates on the progress of Princess Hunter for a long time. Many of you have been asking what's happening with the game, and some have unsubscribed because they've grown tired of waiting. Today, all the worlds of Princess Hunter are celebrating a music festival! This event in honor of the birthday of our composer, the magnificent and incomparable Kate Yantser! Her music and magical voice will help you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of adventure and amazing wanderings. On behalf of the whole team, we congratulate Kate and look forward to hearing more of her marvelous works. Please join us in congratulating her - she will be very pleased! Here's one of the many cool compositions Kate created for Princess Hunter: The second important reason for celebration is that thanks to the efforts of programmers, wonderful music and many sounds are now not just lying in folders, but added to the game! Every game needs a set of core gameplay rules embodied in code. But in some cases, it is necessary to break these rules, for example, to make a quest more interesting, to add a plot twist, or to display a cutscene. To keep the game system from collapsing like a house of cards because of such interventions, it must be “broken” carefully and expertly. When done well, such extra mechanics become a useful mechanism rather than a buggy workaround that is not only safe to use in normal situations, but also provides new tools to bring other ideas to life. Normally, new areas (in Wyrdwood, they are represented by clearings) open up as soon as the Gunslinger gets close to them. But now we've implemented hidden areas and secret paths! The player will be able to find them by completing quests, learning about them by talking to other characters, or by finding a map.

Let's face it: We all hate tutorials. Players hate going through them; developers hate making them. But experience shows that if the game is good, players won't complain too much after even the most annoying tutorial. But if the game is complicated and has no tutorial, players are very likely to give up. That's why, even in the demo version, we're taking our time to create a simplified and brief tutorial for all the basic mechanics. For now, it consists of pop-up windows and tooltips, but in the full version of the game, we plan to seriously rework the tutorial and integrate it into the game as organically as possible, discreetly prompting the player when necessary. What do you think about tutorials? What is tolerable and what is annoying? Can you remember one you liked?

The game has passed another milestone! It seems like not so long ago we were celebrating 25k wishlists, and today we've already crossed 40k..... that's fantastic! Thank you so much for believing in us, waiting and supporting us. You're the best! We are now working very hard to make the build of the game better. Every week we are getting a step or two closer to release, and the game is bigger, more beautiful and more interesting. But besides that we decided to try to conquer Youtube! That's why we've started to post our comics voiceovers there. We have updated the last “anniversary” issue to the current figure and we are glad to share it with you! Stay tuned for more updates!

Here dwells a mysterious winged shaman who is trying to preserve the legacy of the lost folk of the harpies and save the fading world. Will she succeed? One thing's for sure: she certainly can't do it without the help of the Gunslinger.... - Announcing a New World! - 4 April 2024
We hope, the "news" we posted on the April Fool's Day made you smile... and now we're completely serious! Before this, we showed you the Wyrdwood, but as the Master wrote, “there are other worlds than these.” The Gunslinger will have to travel a lot across different worlds in search of princesses, and one day the road will lead him to cold lands known as the Snowy Peaks. These mountains were once filled with magical crystals and magical ores, but the Crimson King pumped out the rocky depths. Since then, the Snowy Peaks have slowly faded away, and the emptied mountains have sunk. The harpies, who once ruled the peaks, have not been seen for a very long time, and without the Guardian Princess, any world is doomed.

We are thrilled to announce that Princess Hunter will be part of Digital Tabletop Fest – the Steam festival celebrating all-things related to digital tabletop games. From today through the 11th of March, you will be able to experience the latest and greatest digital tabletop titles, in addition to what the future holds for the genre with other coming soon titles. The festival will feature deckbuilders, board games, and titles inspired by tabletop IPs.

- The new trailer is out! - 23 January 2024
Early followers of Princess Hunter can remember the old trailer on the game's Steam page. It had been put together rather quickly using mainly assets rather than real gameplay footage. Although many liked the trailer, our team was unhappy with its quality—especially with the fact that it didn't reflect how beautiful the game is in motion. Therefore, driven by perfectionism, we've deleted that old video and started to work on a new one trying to make it as beautiful and real as possible. Unwilling to compromise on quality, we've spent much more time than it was planned originally. And yet, the day has finally come when we can show you—with pride (and a bit of trepidation)—the new trailer for Princess Hunter, which is the result of joint efforts of many people. We have been working very hard to make the camp as cozy as possible. A lot of people put their efforts together to bring what used to be a static picture to life. Now we can proudly show you the final result! As you progress through the game, new companions will join the Gunslinger by the campfire. The hero can spend the night chatting with them… or watching the stars together ;) It's also a great excuse to tell you that we've started a YouTube channel! - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! - 25 December 2023
2023 is nearly over. While we didn't achieve one of our main goals—that is, to release the Princess Hunter demo—we still managed to do as much as possible to make it happen. We've put a lot of effort into the game over these 12 months. Our team has been joined with an experienced and very cool programmer. We've hosted a monstergirl contest. Our artists have drawn a heap of great comic strips (if you still haven't seen any, they can be found on Twitter, Reddit, and Webtoon). A number of atmospheric soundtracks have been composed that you'll hear in the game. That's not counting new characters, dialogues, quests… And in order to celebrate the upcoming holidays, we've prepared a New Year-themed art for all of you who are looking forward to our game. It's been a while since our last news update, but not because there was nothing worth writing about. We've been busy preparing a build for our new trailer which we really want to share with you just before this year ends or soon after the new year begins! We've set ourselves a task not to create just a video reel, but to include as much real-game footage as possible into it, so that you could see what the game really looks and plays like. Therefore, our main goal was to make the latest build both atmospheric and pleasing to the eye. Achievement Unlocked A year ago, when launching a Steam page for our game, we couldn't even imagine that the story of a Gunslinger traveling with a group of monstergirls would generate such a following. And we're proud to announce that recently we've reached our target of 10,000 wishlists!
