The Steam Rythm Festival is coming round the corner and what better way to celebrate than with a big patch for Beat Slayer :D In this patch we have prepared a few things for you to make Mia's journey through Berlin even more varied and to provide more "destruction". New Hazard: Laser Walls Some Levels in Act 3 now have Laser Barriers that turn on and off to the beat. Getting caught in the beam will hurt you, but enemies take even more damage from it! Destructibles You can find destructible objects (like Crates and Vases) in most levels. Destroying them has a chance of granting you some Currywurst and other Powerups! Be Careful - many levels also have explosive barrels that, when destroyed, do massive damage to anything nearby! Enemy Spawner Improvements We tweaked the enemy spawning system, allowing enemies to use the whole level to determine where to spawn. Enemy spawns are now less "c…

- Beat Slayer is out NOW! - 4 April 2024
Our game Beat Slayer is finally out! 🎉 Almost 3 years have passed since we developed the first prototype of Beat Slayer. We showcased the game at over 20 conventions, exhibitions and fairs all over the globe. We got covered by several gaming news sites and streamers such as IGN and HandofBlood . Despite hurdles such as the stealth release of "Hi-Fi Rush", we kept on going and turned that hurdle into a guidepost to a game that's different and unique. Beat Slayer is not only the first rhythm-based hack n' slay roguelite, but also our most ambitious project to date! We still can't believe that this moment has finally come. Thanks to everyone who helped us along this way! We're very proud to announce that you can get your very own copy of Beat Slayer on Steam now

- If HiFi Rush and Fallout had a baby, it'd be this Steam roguelike - 7 February 2024
If there's one thing I am a little too obsessed with, it's rhythm games. One of my favorite PC games ever made is Metal Hellsinger, and before that I spent far too much time on Riot Forge's Hextech Mayhem. This Steam Next Fest, though, my attention has turned to Beat Slayer , a new indie that channels the gritty, gloomy dystopian setting of Fallout and the on-beat combat and comic book style of HiFi Rush. If two of the best Bethesda games had a baby, it'd be this game. Read the rest of the story...

Thank you and stay tuned!

Some of you may have already noticed that we have quite a lot going on with Beat Slayer. From Gamescom Asia in Singapore to GDC, Nordic Game and Gamescom in Cologne, we've been on a world tour with Beat Slayer. In this post, we'd like to give you a little update on the current state of the game and the future of Mia's adventure. First things first: We are still working hard on Beat Slayer and are looking forward to introducing you to new levels and enemies, as well as one or two new weapons 😉. Here's a sneak peek at some of the levels from the first act. In order to be able to offer you a comprehensive and above all breathtaking demo, we have decided to wait until Steam Next in February 2024. However, in order to not leave you completely empty-handed, we are releasing a demo here on Steam today, which we have already presented at numerous trade shows and events, and which has made many…
- Gamescom 2023 x Beat Slayer - 29 August 2023
In the time from August 23-27 the Gamescom 2023 took place in Cologne. Armed with Mia's axe, we were at the start of this year's Home of Indies with Beat Slayer. And what can we say: It was awesome! We hit the show floor with a new version of Beat Slayer with new playable levels and new upgrades. And your feedback was fabulous. Thanks to everyone who came by and tried Beat Slayer. An additional big thank you goes to everyone who also wishlisted on Steam to see this little news here. ːsteamhappyː In addition to the game, we used a kill counter to count all the destroyed robots that were turned into scrap metal during the course of the trade show. Thus, no less than 50,000 bots were destroyed during the entire Gamescom. We are very pleased that you enjoyed the gamescom demo so much. And for all those who were unfortunately not at the fair, do not worry. We are looking forward to presentin…
- Beat Slayer @ GDC23 - 3 April 2023
Last week we've attended the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco. It was an amazing and astonishing experience, not only because it was our first time there, but also because we let players play a very early demo of Beat Slayer for the first time ever. Getting our first direct feedback for the game and meeting new people made this event more than worthwhile. We gave out brochure with informations about all our games. We spend 8 hours a day talking to all kinds of trade visitors and took lots and lots of pictures of people holding our stunning flamethrower axe replica. Every single ByteRocker, who's been there gave 100% and it shows. Hearing "this is definitely the best game here" motivates us even more to deliver the most awesome game we could possibly develop! Thanks a lot for everyone who visited us at our booth and also to everyone who wishlisted Beat Slayer! If you're interes…
- Creating your own symphony of destruction @GDC2023 - 21 March 2023
"We are thrilled to announce our new game: Beat Slayer, a rhythmic roguelike hack n’ slay game. We will be attending the Game Developers Conference 2023 in San Francisco to showcase our progress and get your feedback. Beat Slayer is a game that combines rhythm and fighting in a unique way. You have to match your moves to the beat of the soundtrack, while using crazy weapons like the flamethrowing axe to destroy hordes of robots. The game is set in a dystopian 80s inspired Berlin, where you play as Mia, a badass music lover and crafty tinkerer. We are excited to let you try our demo at our booth. You will be able to experience some of the locations, challenges and tunes that we have created so far for Beat Slayer. You will also be able to see one of the weapons that we are planning to add in the future. If you are interested in Beat Slayer and want to support us, you can wishlist it now…
