• Modding Beta & Gods vs Horrors in Next Fest! - 24 February 2025

  Hi everyone, My collaborator IngoH has been working on enabling modding for The Ouroboros King, and we’re doing an open beta to test the system. To join you need to own the game, and then go to Steam -> right click on the game -> properties -> Betas -> introduce the code "octavius2468". Mods can be used to create new pieces and you can find the mod documentation here. I suggest starting with text mods, you can use this one as a template. If you encounter any problems, have questions or want to share your mods, you can do so on my Discord. Additionally, Gods vs Horrors (the game I’m currently developing) will be participating in Steam Next Fest this week with an upgraded version. It’s a roguelike that only cares about your build, with lots of deep strategy and meaningful decisions coupled with some randomness to make it spicy. • Polish update, minor bugfixes - 7 July 2023

  The Polish language has been added. Also some minor bugs have been fixed, including some affecting the phoenix (spike shield interaction, and getting killed on its spawning spot), gorgon immobilizing after rewind, and boomerang plus blade dancer interaction.

• Fixed the audio bug - 18 May 2023

  Fixed the bug causing the game audio to go too loud. It was an issue with the decimal point being a comma vs being a dot. Sorry about any inconvenience.

• Content update + practice mode - 18 May 2023

  Added more than 20 new units, including Agents * and L, a mysterious egg that has 2 upgrades and the powerful gorgon. Adjusted game balance, nerfing the power of blade dancer to a max of 2 moves per turn (can still do infinite, but you'll need a relic) as it was too powerful and easy to get. Introduced Practice mode, where you can create arbitrary situations to play vs the AI, or use it to play local multiplayer.

• Infinity mode update - 7 April 2023

  I've added progression to both the player and the enemies on infinity mode: - Players will be able to complete their build, getting recruits, upgrades, new relics (up to 8 total), sacrifices and shops every 2 fights - Enemies will get stronger with better units and get an extra relic every 10 fights (up to 8 total) Additionally, you can now skip any reward screen

• Infinity mode, bug fixes - 29 March 2023

  I've added infinity mode (at the end of a run, you can keep fighting increasingly difficult enemies) and fixed some bugs (enemy taking over your army, smoke bomb on boss fights).

• New difficulty 30 achievement, bugfixing - 16 March 2023

  Added the witch hunter achievement after defeating the Coven at 30 difficulty, you should also get it upon loading the game if you beat the game at 30 difficulty in the past. Fixed the consecutive stalemates bug, the softlock bug and some bugs regarding the interaction of marching boots with other items and relics.

• Nerfed immortal, fixed minor bugs - 4 March 2023

  Now immortals cannot kill kings or generals, this should make immortal endgames less tedious.
