  Hey everyone. It’s been over a year since the first chapter of The Suits Have Gone Mad was released and I thought I’d share my thoughts about how I want to continue the game. Feel free to leave your opinions or thoughts too. The issues with chapter-based releases Chapter-based releases are a concept not unfamiliar to the indie scene. Many games have been very successful using this structure for releases. It allows a dev space to breathe and learn from the previous chapter to improve for the next. However, this release structure has glaring issues… Delays between each chapter. Long delays damage the hype of a release and raise expectations the longer it takes. Judging the experience as separate pieces. Each chapter tends to be viewed as an individual experience from the last.   Hey everyone, After releasing The Suits Have Gone Mad Chapter 1, I was amazed by the praise it received. Seeing this motivated me to continue working on the game. I made sure to bring every little detail that I envisioned to the upcoming chapters. With this, I have come to realize some things... I am not experienced enough to be able to bring The Suits Have Gone Mad to the level of quality I want it to be. The style and game flow creates the need to carefully curate every set piece, location and mechanic. This is a high work load that I cannot achieve in a reasonable timeframe. This has sadly lead to my decision to place The Suits Have Gone Mad on hold. The game is NOT cancelled. It will return in the future when I am better equipped to handle its development.   What's going on everyone! The Suits Have Gone Mad! has now been updated to version 1.1.0 Changes and additions listed below: Blake & Whitley Innovations are dedicated to embracing festivities and cultural events. The office has been allowed one carved pumpkin to decorate for Halloween! The elevator music has been changed. The engine version has been updated to a more stable version. This should hopefully resolve most of the issues that people have been experiencing. The file structure of the game has been completely changed to accommodate the DLC release structure. This means that the update will reinstall the majority of files, causing a large update size. A new main menu screen for Chapter 2 has been added. The overall graphical fidelity has been improved.   What's going on everyone? Hope I didn't scare ya with the announcement title! Development is still well and truly trucking along. I figured I should answer some common questions about the future of The Suits Have Gone Mad! Check them out below: When will Chapter 2 release? Currently, I work on the game in my spare time. Because of this, the availability of when I can do work is extremely varied. It makes it very difficult to set a deadline for Chapter 2. As I want to make this chapter as good as it can be, I prefer to take my time perfecting the game rather than rushing to meet a deadline. While this may leave a large lull in content for TSHGM, I really want to make sure this game is great. How will the chapters be delivered?   Hey all, Another tiny update. Just aiming to fix the little parts that people are struggling with. The second Suit that breaks through the window will now occur after the elevator doors open. The Suits that can be tripped on in the chase sequence stick out of their doors less. The encounter in Parlov's office has a couple bugs/softlock issues fixed. Cheers! • The Suits Have Gone Mad! - Update 1.0.1 - 11 May 2023

  Hey all, Releasing a minor update to the game. Details listed below: The introduction of the dodge mechanic has been modified to be more intuitive. The skip button has been made more obvious when doing the hacking puzzle. Fixed a bug which made the Suits in the dodge sequence get up incredibly quickly on occasion. Various, less obvious bugs have been squashed. Thank you so much to all that have played the game so far. I've been taken aback with how well this game has been received. The reception of the first chapter has been incredible and it has 100% motivated me to continue! Side note: Development has already begun on the 2nd chapter.
