We've just pushed a major update to all platforms. This update addresses several bugs reported by the community and some caught in our internal testing. Given the scope of changes, there is a non-zero chance that there might be issues with some existing save games. We apologize for the inconvenience. Bob now correctly lets you dispense sodas after giving his permission. Fixed dialogue getting stuck when reporting about PAL to Otis. - Native Linux build now available! - 25 January 2025
SteamOS and Linux will now default to a native Linux build. This might have the unfortunate side effect of saves not being compatible between the previous Proton build and the Linux build. We apologize for the inconvenience, but hopefully going forward this will maximize compatibility for our Linux friends! Please keep reporting any issues you might face through the in-game reporting tool. Our ability to test on Linux especially is limited, so every report helps.
- Hotfix: Splittown 0.7.2 - 25 January 2025
We just pushed an update for an issue affecting the ending of the game. The "device" should now show correct location on the map when using the terminal. The ending dialogue should now trigger as expected. Big thanks to Seb-Solon and Ilkka who brought this up on our Discord channel!

We just released a fix tackling a gnarly progress issue, plus a few smaller non-breaking bugs. Fixed an issue with the Utility Room door not letting you back in from the Back Alley. Fixed Otis skipping other quest requirements if you reported you’ve taken care of PAL. Fixed laminating machine being usable even when you couldn’t reach it. Added a comment when attempting to use a tumbler with the murky liquid in Joe’s back room. Big thanks to everyone who has provided feedback so far. Keep the bug reports and feedback coming!

It's time to get adventuring! Splittown enters Early Access on January 16th (that's today!) for both Windows and macOS. Linux and Steam Deck are also supported, thanks to Proton, with a native Linux build soon to follow for all the fans of freedom out there. Note for Steam Deck users: The game is completeable from beginning to end, but the final puzzle requires entering text with the virtual keyboard. We are also missing button prompts. - Steam Next Fest Content Update - 5 February 2023
Hi everyone, We've been hard at work putting last additions into the Splittown demo for Steam Next Fest. Because there are major changes to the demo, if you already have a save game, we recommend starting a new game after the update. Changes: Overhauled dialogue for Beluga Joe. Overhauled dialogue for Otis. Added new item inspections. Enhanced some cutscenes. Otis' questline can now be completed in the demo. Given that these are major changes, new bugs are possible. Don't forget that you can submit a bug repoort at any time from inside the game by pressing ESC and entering the menu.
- Splittown Demo is now available on Linux! - 4 February 2023
Thank you all for your patience! Splittown Demo is now available on Linux in addition to Windows and MacOS. Head on to the store page to download, and don't forget to report any bugs or issues your might have! We are planning to do one more larger update for the demo in time for the Steam Next Fest starting next week, after which we'll continue on with the regular development of Splittown. Changes: Fixed PAL-5000 glitching when using fast travel from the laundry room. Fixed Joe getting stuck offering Nimby drinks if you left the bar without grabbing yours. Fixed stuff left on the scanner plate not showing up when player returns to the office. Fixed an invisible handle appearing on the floor of the hallway even if picked up. Disabled fast travel from the bar back room when entering for the first time. Fixed Joe interrupting Nimby and Otis if the player had ordered a drink before talking to Otis.
