- Sell sugar cane juice in the toilet? BR Food Sim Devlog #2 - 7 August 2023
Brazilian Street Food Simulator devlog 2 is out! I talk about bugs and problems when using physics with Skeletal Meshes (both UE and Unity), my final engine choice, as well my sandbox plans, like mechanics such as selling rat contaminated sugar cane juice in a toilet. NOTICE: Video in 🇧🇷 Portuguese, with English subtitles available.
- Sandbox Gameplay Preview in First Person with Physical interactions - 4 June 2023
First gameplay preview: in Brazilian Street Food Simulator you have total freedom to assemble your street food store, stalls and food production. Brazilian 🇧🇷 vendors improvise and make a lot of contraptions, and you can do the same in the game. It's a simulator and tycoon like no other! PS: initially the game was already being developed as a first person game, then I pivoted it and for some months the game was being developed as a top-down tycoon - I got to a point of a playable tycoon prototype. But I have now changed it back to the original design of it being a first person game where you control things directly, this aligns better with my original vision for the game. PS 2: in the video, you can see the prototyping scene, which is why the environment is gray. Typically, scenes like this are called "asset zoo" or "gameplay playground", for you to test systems and assets (3D models,…
- Making my Simulator Indie Game in 3 Engines - BR Food Sim Devlog 1 - 5 March 2023
Since the game was published in August last year, it went viral for a week and I started facing choice paralysis between the many game concepts AND game engines. I ended up making the game with three engines at the same time. And now I finally came to a point to take a stance and move things forward for good, with Brazilian Street Food Simulator!

Brazilian Street Food Simulator is a highlight in the event, and I'm humbled to say that it is at the side of legendary indie games like Oniken, Celeste and others! About the event Conceived by Eduardo Lamhut, developer of the company Bitcake Studio from Rio de Janeiro, the action emerged after the mobilization of studios and teams from all regions of the country. A great demonstration of the growth and maturity of the national industry. Unprecedented and of…
