- Character DLCs Release | Custom Character Animation Options! - 19 December 2024
Announcing the release of two character DLCs, as well as Version 1.5.1, which brings an update to the custom character configuration tools that allow tweaking animation behavior! Characeter DLCs Release Meet Cobalt and Nikki—with these two DLCs you can have them guest-star in Pawperty Damage! These DLCs are collaborations with my two friends, Mannikobunneh and KTqtpi! New DLC Pose Options In addition to unlocking one new character, each DLC also unlocks three new options for the pose settings, in Photo Mode. Those poses/animations can also be used for any of the other characters, in the game, including custom characters (for custom characters your mileage may vary, however, depending on body proportions and such!) Check out the Cobalt and Nikki store pages and trailers, to see these animations in action! Custom Character Animation Options (*Note: All characters shown in this video are e…
- Version 1.5 | Pose Feature - 28 November 2024
Poses In Photo Mode, there is now a new options menu that gives you control over the character's pose! You can select from four pre-defined poses: Wave Peace Sign Flex Sit (To cancel a pose, simply select the same option again, or trigger an attack.) Happy/Angry Facial Expressions In the pose options menu, you can also change the facial expression of the character! Characters will now also change expressions during regular gameplay: Every time they attack, their expression switches to angry. Note: These facial expressions will only work for custom characters that have set up their 'angry' and 'joy' blend shape expressions, during VRM export! 'Customize Pose' Tool You also have the option to customize a pose, or create an entirely new one: When activating the 'customize pose' tool, the game will display a number of handles that allow individual bones to be rotated or moved. To reposition…
- Version 1.4.1 - 15 July 2024
Patch Notes Changes Damage Scale game option can now be set to less than 100% Added option to the Character Configurator, which allows you to increase a character's "reach radius", in case they have a hard time picking up vehicles (i.e. because their arms are too short.) Fixes Growth Rate setting no longer changes unintentionally, when opening the options menu Game will now load/display all subscribed Workshop items (used to be limited to 50) Broken Support for Windows 7 Since version 1.4 the game has been updated to use a newer version of the Unity game engine, which unfortunately no longer supports Windows 7. If you are running Windows 7... In Steam, go to the game's Properties... Select the Betas tab Under Beta Participation, switch to branch version-1.3 This will allow you to play the older version of the game (1.3.2) which was still compatible with Windows 7. Apologies for the inco…
- Version 1.4 | 1 Year Anniversary | New City, Atmosphere Options, ... - 23 May 2024
New Level: Atro City The game now features a new, bigger city level! Unlock Atro City by causing $350,000,000 damage, in the original city (now called Down Town) while playing Crush Hour mode. Note: There are a few things that are still work-in-progress, for the new city: So for now, please keep in mind that... Some of the game's balancing still needs to be adjusted to work with this much bigger map: At the moment, many VIP Targets will spawn far outside of the players reach, for instance While player high scores will already be recorded for the new city, the in-game leader board does not yet feature an option to display scores for Atro City Hope to take care of these issues, in the near future; until then I think these are good compromises to have the new city available, a little early! As for size, Atro City is almost 3 times bigger than the old city: 468 buildings waiting to be destr…
- Version 1.3.2 - 6 December 2023
Patch Notes Changes Adjusted hand positioning for custom characters during bite animation Spring/Boing bones now support the 'collision radius' setting When importing a VRM with default configuration, no pronouns will be shown Fixes Mods menu did not update properly, when downloading new mods from the workshop Fixed default characters' collision radius (it was 20% too big) Spring/Boing bone collision is now also enabled for chains that do not use gravity 'Kaiju 101' and 'Crushing It!' achievements could be unlocked even after the timer has run out Result screen showed placeholder '100 ft' for all high scores, when no previous score existed and a custom character was in use
- Version 1.3 | Custom Character Support - 25 November 2023
Custom Characters Ever since development began, people have been asking about importing their own characters into the game: I'm happy to finally announce that this feature has become a reality! (Examples: KTqtpi's and Galileo's characters... and also the TF2 scout.) To import a character into the game, you need to export the model to a VRM file; this requires an installation of the Unity editor, as well as some Unity knowledge. I have written a detailed Custom Character Guide which will walk you through all the necessary steps to export/import your own character models: You can read the Steam Guide or find a PDF file, at the following path in the game's installation directory: \Pawperty Damage_Data\StreamingAssets\Characters\Custom Character Guide.pdf Character Configurator To help with the character configuration process, the game comes with a custom Unity tool: It allows you to tweak…
- Version 1.2 | Mods, Steam Workshop integration - 29 August 2023
Mod Support Starting with this update, the game will be able to load "mods" which make sharing custom content a lot more convenient! The game still only supports custom billboard and character textures, I'm afraid, but these can now be bundled into mods and then uploaded to the Steam Workshop. In the future, more options for customizations (i.e. custom character models) will be added. I have created a Steam Guide to run you through the process of creating and uploading mods: Check it out, here: Mod Creation Guide Steam Workshop As mentioned above, the game now features basic Steam Workshop integration! You can browse the Workshop and subscribe to other users' mods, to import them into your game. Also, I have taken the liberty of preparing a few mods which you can subscribe to and import, right now: Simply check out the game's Workshop page. Patch Notes New "Mods" menu Steam Workshop int…
- Version 1.1 | High Scores, Steam Leader Boards, Character Skins - 31 July 2023
What's new in Version 1.1? High Scores and Steam Leader Boards The game will now keep track of your high scores, both locally and via Steam's leader boards feature: At the end of each game, the results screen will display your personal best, as well as a leader board including your Steam friends' high scores. From the button in the bottom right of the main menu you can also access a more detailed overview of your and your friends' high scores. Note: To make scores consistent and comparable, the default settings for Crush Hour and Time Attack modes can no longer be adjusted: For a customized experience, use the Custom game mode, instead. Custom Character Skins The game now allows you to import custom textures to change the look of the default cast! You can find a detailed guide as well as example and template files, at the following path, in the game files: \Pawperty Damage_Data\Streamin…
