• 1.03 Update - 21 September 2024

  This update brings a number of features to manage difficulty in addition to fixes and other features. Priest Feedback Some players have been having a tough time with the priest enemies that teleport and resurrect their allies. The strategy to defeat this enemy is to hit them immediately after they teleport as there is a short delay before they can do so again. We have added a trail effect that decays so the player can immediately locate them after a teleport. The direction they have fled to is now obvious at close range, and at a distance, their exact location is easy to pinpoint. Better communicating this mechanic should make them less frustrating to deal with without changing the composition of encounters.   A small update with some new secrets, quality of life changes and fixes. Secrets One of the ways we are continuing to balance the game is by adding more secret areas. These are designed to be helpful to players still learning the game or those who want to take things a bit slower. They are away from the main path so that they don’t affect existing time trial runs but provide extra resources for those who want to explore.   Hey everyone, We are 14 hours since launch and it has been an amazing day! Having the game out in the wild and seeing people play it has been such a blast. We have a small update fixing some minor issues - we would have waited until we had more but wanted to get Steam screenshots out right away. Steam Screenshots Steam Screenshots are now implemented – looking forward to see what the community has to offer! QoL Numbers have been added to the FOV slider so you can dial in your preferences better. Also, the game now properly respects your windowed/full screen settings when re-launching the game. Note that the configuration is not synced to cloud so you can have different setups between devices. Controller now cycles weapons more logically. • The Road to Release - 18 August 2024

  Greetings everyone, we have received our final approval from Steam and Caesar’s Revenge is set for release on August 30th! This update covers some of the work we have completed leading up to release. Achievements The game will launch with 41 achievements. Some track the player’s progress towards important milestones, while others are earned through things like completing time trials, finding secrets or by discovering creative ways to dispose of enemies. We have opted for achievements that support the game experience and encourage exploration – there are a few easter eggs but we have stayed away from anything too tedious. We are excited to be part of the event and are releasing a limited time demo - we're looking forward to seeing players get their hands on Caesar's Revenge for the first time. As part of the festivities we will be doing two live streams to play the game and chat with the community.
