• Localization Update - 17 July 2023

  Hi there! I wanted to let you know that I've been working with some translators, and I'm happy to announce that starting now, Farewell can be played in: Chinese Japanese Korean On the other hand, version 1.3 will be the Combat Update, and it will take more time because after several months of hard work, I have very little energy, so I will progress slower for a few weeks. • Accesability & Assist Mode - 10 July 2023

  Hey there! v1.2 is ready! Accessibility features have been added, trying to make the game as customizable as possible. Please, in case you need something to be added, write me at [email protected] I also added an Assist Mode. Farewell is going to be a game where the main focus will be on the story and combat, but I wouldn't want someone who wants to play the experience to be blocked by the combat. With this intention, I made it possible to modify the damage and cooldowns values on allies and enemies. Ideally, you shouldn't touch them, but if at some point you're having a bad time feel free to change them. The next version, 1.3, will be the Combat Update, which I plan to be quite large. • Demo V1.1 - Dynamic Interactions - 3 July 2023

  Hey there! Many thanks to all who were able to try the demo :) I'm very excited about what's coming. Today the game was updated with version v1.1, where dynamic interactions between characters and in combat are added. Next week will be an important update, because v1.2 will come with accessibility settings and an Assist Mode. After that, v1.3 will come which will be the Combat Update, which I plan to be quite big. • Demo Launch Today - 26 June 2023

  Hey there! I wanted to let you know that after a lot of work and hours dedicated today the Farewell demo is out. Thank you very much to everyone for the support you constantly give because this could not have reached this point. Here is the trailer of the demo! To inform how the game is going to continue, my idea is to make fixes to the current demo (especially combat) while at the same time I continue with the rest of the game, and hopefully have a second demo by the end of this year or early next year. In the meantime, the next updates to come are: -1.1. Dynamic Interactions (July 3) -1.2. Accessibility and Assist Mode (July 10) -1.3.   Hi there! I hope you are having a good start of the month. I wanted to tell you that after 5 months of hard work I finished the demo of Farewell. These months were of a lot of work but especially the last 30 days were exhausting, working between 10 and 12 hours a day to have the demo ready. About a month ago the announcement of the Tiny Teams Festival to be held in August of this year came out, but the inscriptions were until June 11. I was very excited because I know it is an important festival, but I did not see it possible to have the demo ready with all the work ahead of me. That's what I thought for a couple of days, until I finished a whole new section in two days. I realized that, with an intense rhythm, I could manage to register for the festival, and so I did. • New Combat System and release date of the Demo - 6 May 2023

  Hey there! April passed and it's been a month since this page is up. Thanks to everyone for the support, as always. Today I'm going to talk about what I've been working on with combat and then an estimated demo date. Combat Systems During april, with the site ready, I was testing different types of combat. I did the design of dozens of combats, but finally I decided to develop 3. The idea was to test: How fun it was How hard it was to develop If it felt right for my kind of game. First, Undertale style combat with an emotion system like in Omori. I leave some images here of what I developed: I like the result and feel it would be interesting, but not for the type of game I'm making, so I discarded that approach. The second test was to make a JRPG but in 2.5D in the style of Octopath traveler, but it turned out to be very complex to maintain and was archived. The third test was the one I…

• The beginning of this journey - 6 April 2023

  Hey there! I'm Taaro, the solodev who is developing this game. This is the first update, and although it's a small step, it's something that before I quit my job I considered a very distant dream.
