- Finally some GOOD news! - Devlog #3 - 28 March 2024
A big update on SCP: Submerged! In this article, we'll be going over some huge updates regarding SCP: Submerged, like the title says, finally, some good news!! Here's a quick overview of what this article contains; SCP: Submerged Map remastering. Brand new Nanite support! Huge performance improvements! Refreshed character models. Steam Deck compatibility! SCP: Submerged map remastering. We are currently working on remaking the map of SCP: Submerged, moving away from building every part of the map by hand, piece by piece, and opting to pre-build every room, hallway and part of the facility, and make them all their own mesh/model. This will massively improve performance. This is what we call the Partition system, which so far has proven very effective, improving performance significantly! The Partition system also streamlines our map-building process, saving us tons of precious time durin…
- Lights are killing the game? - Devlog #2 - 16 July 2023
Welcome to another Devlog Get your popcorn and snacks as we tell you why we MIGHT have to delay SCP: Submerged a little further, bear with us here. Long story short... Lighting in SCP: Submerged has caused us a ton of trouble, performance issues as well, we're being hindered in development as our current lighting setup is killing frames. As soon as we fix our technical difficulties we'll be back on track and ready to start Early Access real fast, but we honestly have no good estimate of when we're done with this issue, we hope you all can bear with us and be patient as we try our best to roll this game out over 6 months past the due date. Not only that But internal issues in the studio has also risen, and caused delay in our workflow. We sincerily apolagize for the long wait, but we want to roll out a good first impression when we start Early Access. While you wait, why not join our dis…
- Where's the game!? - Devlog #1 - 26 May 2023
Dev team hard at work Here you can see some of our staff doing super hard and time consuming work: Why is the game taking so long to release? We are putting our blood sweat and tears into our game, with technical complications slowing our progress we've been delayed quite a bit, but we're getting there, we promise! We thank you all for being so patient with us, and we're excited to see how the game will be recieved. Fair warning. Don't have too high expectations for the game, we are a fairly small indie studio, with not that many employees. We are doing our best to make a fun and good game, and we hope we can deliver with future content updates as the game evolves during Early Access. It's better if you keep your hopes up for the finished product, as Early Access will only pose as a preview of what to expect. Progress Before we get into our progress and expected release timeframe, we'd…

- Early Access Delay - 14 December 2022
We are sad to tell you that the release of SCP: Submerged in Early Access has been delayed. Due to sickness and some other complications, the game has been pushed forward in time a little. The original intended date for Early Access to start was December 26th. But we have made the decision to move this to some time in Early 2023. We expect to be able to release the game in Early Access as soon as January of 2023, so it's not all too bad! You may notice the store page for the game has changed, and the release date will state "To Be Announced" until we have a new definitive date. We originally intended to release the game specifically on December 26th because this was the date that SCP Unity initially published as an Early Access game, as we started this project in an effort to honor this sadly cancelled game. As you may know, we are re-purposing their SCP models and some of their lore el…

- Welcome to ARC-Site 51 - 13 November 2022
ARC-SITE 51 Located at the bottom of the Northern Sea off the coast of Norway, the Armed Research and Containment Site 51 digs into the ocean floor. Connected to the surface via the Oil platform "Troll A" Built and funded by the Norwegian Armed Forces, this facility is one of the safest yet, in the sense that even if SCPs may escape containment, they may have a harder time escaping a facility deep under water. SUBLEVELS AND DEPARTMENTS ARC-Site 51 consists of Three main SubLevels. Each covering different departments and zones of the facility. The deeper you go, the closer you are to the deadliest entities that are contained in the facility. SUBLEVEL 1 The top floor of the facility. This SubLevel houses areas such as Offices, Living Quarters and The Cafeteria, where delicious foods such as pizza and warm soup is served every day. Get creative with the drink vending machine, and grab a sl…
- Introducing... Victor Haselhurst! - 8 November 2022
"I am The Cure!" Most of you may know SCP-049 as The Plague Doctor, a terrifying and deadly entity who seeks to "cure" you at first sight. However, Victor Haselhurst, can actually be quite the well-mannered and respectable type, as long as you're not a carrier of "The Pestilence" He may even be as nice as to offer you a helping hand during the containment breach, but only if you do something for him in return... We have made the decision to give SCP-049 a full name canon to the game's storyline, as to give him more character!
- Introducing... Greg! - 6 November 2022
Introducing... SCP-939-B, also known as Greg! This lovely bundle of joy (literally) was created by the top bio-engineers at ARC-Site 51! Opposed to his red counterparts, he is friendly as a dog, and blue! This non-hostile version of SCP-939 is a trusty companion and will accompany you in some parts of SCP: Submerged, maybe he will come in handy? (Concept art by @BagelByteArts)
