• The Psions has gone live - 20 July 2023

  Hello Psions, We are excited to announce the retro overhaul of Hope’s End - The Psions - has arrived! If you previously purchased Hope’s End the DLC for the Psions should have automatically unlocked for you. New Psions will have access to all Ascendencies each in Frost and Electric. The Psions DLC is available to purchase for $3.99 to unlock the other specializations. Thank you for supporting us through the evolution of Hope’s End: Arcade! If you have any questions, or concerns or need help with the DLC conversion please reach out to us.   Hello, Psions! We want to update the community regarding our first major update after the Early Access launch. We received a lot of great feedback from the community during the first couple of weeks of Early Access and the alpha before that and those experiences helped us realize that we didn’t hit the mark we were aiming for with this first version of Hope’s End. As the systems of Hope’s End started layering together things felt good. We wanted to add depth to the game for everyone to explore: More progression, more unlocks, more difficulty sliders, more everything. But as we packed features into the game we veered away from our vision of the quick, bit-sized, retro arcade-style gameplay we’d originally set out to create. With a team our size simplicity is extremely important, we let feature creep pull our attention away from the key aspects that would make Hope’s End a unique Explorer…

  Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where you could lose your save file if you logged into steam on a different computer with the same account Fixed some FPS issues with Stormcaller, still more to fix here but should be much better UI Updates We have made changes across most of the UI to streamline things and reduce overall clutter. The most significant updates are the Armory screen and In-Game UI. Armory and Late Game Scaling Armory kill passive upgrades were scaling much faster than intended when combined with Psion Rank. We have made a few adjustments to make sure that you can still make significant progress increasing your power, but not become so powerful you don't even need to play the game. To compensate for this shift in power, all Armory Passive (the ones that scaled with kills) no longer require a minimal kill count to activate. Total kills are now capped at 1,000,000 for the generic (le…

• Launch Day Hotfix - 22 April 2023

  There were a few significant bugs that players reported that we wanted to hotfix as quickly as possible. A few others are still being worked on. We will have other updates in a regular patch later. Bug Fixes: Black Blossoms and Eyeless were not properly scaling with game length. They are now much tougher enemies (as they always were supposed to be). Mortar turret damage fixed. The biggest impact is on late game scaling. Turrets are meant to supplement your ability damage and effects, not solo the game for you. Known Issues: FPS can drop on Stormcaller with a lot of enemies alive at once. We are investigating this. (It is possible that this can also happen on Electric but it is not confirmed)

• Early Access is Live! - 21 April 2023

  We are thrilled to announce that Hope's End is now officially live in Early Access on Steam! This is just the start of the journey and we have tons of content we are still working on adding to the game, more details below on that. With this initial release into EA we are hoping to get as much player feedback as possible to make the game great. As a team we have a passion for single player games that let you just pick up and play for 20 minutes or 3 hours. We have played our fair share of games with weekly resets and hardcore PVP and they are great, but they aren't the thing that captures our hearts. With Hope's End we are hoping that we capture that feeling of deep progression and skill cap to unlock and chase but balanced with the feeling that it is a game you can pick up AND put down whenever you want without pressure to keep up with everyone else.
