- DevLog - August 2026 - 21 August 2026
Hello everyone!Since it’s been a couple of weeks since our last update, and we might also be a couple of weeks away from the next one, I thought it might be a good idea to reintroduce our “DevLogs” and give you a brief update on what we are working on and what’s to come for the rest of this year!As always, we never really know how interested the majority of the Steam community is in the more technical side of game development, but we feel it’s best to keep our communication as direct as possible, simply… because this is actually the only way we know how to communicate. So beware of a wild mix of technical game development insights and thoughts, as well as game update ideas that will hopefully spark your curiosity. We might also use this DevLog format in the future to present more background lore and story, helping to bridge the gap until the game itself contains much more of it. Implemen…
- Fatekeeper Patch - 0.1.3 (Radial Menu, Skill System Changes & Improved Combat) - 30 July 2026
Hello everyone! We have been unusually quiet over the past six weeks, though certainly not because nothing has been happening. Many of the things we have been working on simply took longer to get right than expected, and we wanted to make sure they were ready without introducing a whole new wave of bugs to the Early Access. While proper content updates are still some time away, we have been working our way through the long list of feedback and feature requests we've received. Rather than rushing towards the next content drop, we wanted to make sure we are improving the core experience and addressing the things you have been asking for first. One feature that genuinely surprised us with how often it was requested was controller support. We honestly didn't expect it to be considered this important this early into Early Access, but we've heard you loud and clear. We are racing towards a prope…
- Fatekeeper dev "a little overwhelmed by the enthusiasm" for its handcrafted fantasy RPG - 12 June 2026
Fatekeeper developer Paraglacial has thanked fans for their "incredible" support of its new release. The fantasy RPG leapt off the screen at me the first time I saw it, with absolutely stunning environments and combat that feels like the next evolution of Skyrim. The team has now just dropped its second big update since launching into early access, integrating some of the most common feedback with initial implementations for the likes of FOV. It's also currently looking into adding some ways to enhance replayability of the current build, while working on its next major set of additions. - Fatekeeper Patch - 0.1.2 - 11 June 2026
Hi! Once again, we're honestly a little overwhelmed by the enthusiasm surrounding Fatekeeper. The amount of discussion, feedback, suggestions, bug reports, encouragement, and general engagement has been incredible to witness. One thing that has genuinely surprised us over the past weeks is the quality of the feedback we've received. Whether people are enjoying the game, pointing out flaws, or occasionally telling us that everything is terrible, many of you have taken the time to explain your thoughts in remarkable detail. Even some of the harshest criticism we've received has been thoughtful, constructive, and often accompanied by suggestions on how things could be improved. As developers, that's incredibly valuable and not something we take for granted. We are currently discussing whether we should introduce a few replayability-focused features in the near future while continuing work…
- Fatekeeper Patch - 0.1.1 - 5 June 2026
Hey everyone!First of all, we are genuinely blown away by the response to Fatekeeper's first week in Early Access. The amount of support, feedback, bug reports, suggestions, criticism, and discussion has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts with us.We've received plenty of praise, plenty of criticism, and a lot of thoughtful feedback in between. All of it helps us better understand where the game currently succeeds and where it falls short, and we're incredibly grateful that so many people have taken the time to engage with the project so passionately. We know there is still a lot of work ahead of us, so we're kicking things off with a small patch focused on some of the more urgent balance issues and bugs.Alongside content updates, we're already working on several shorter-term improvements, including controller support, localization, and a numbe…

- Skill Tree! (And some Shots of the Hub) - 8 April 2026
Today we want to give you a brief look into the skill tree of Fatekeeper. We’d like to share a glimpse of both the tree itself and some of the skill nodes, as well as the ideas behind it. Our goal is to create a progression system that feels deep and flexible, and truly supports theorycrafting and creative builds.Players can progress in vastly different directions: From fully spellcasting-focused to devastating melee combat, to survivability-oriented and well-balanced builds, as well as more specialized paths such as builds purely focused on consumables. Below are a few examples:This build focuses on maximizing the use of “Shatter”, which allows you to crush frozen enemies when using blunt weapons (maces, hammers, clubs). It utilizes several ice-oriented skill nodes to freeze enemies as efficiently as possible, sacrificing raw damage for greater shattering potential. The next build is a f…
- Fatekeeper Lore Part I: Solace and the Underdwellers - 4 March 2026
The UnderdwellersLong before the surface knew their name, they turned their backs on the sky.Fleeing a tyrant they could not overthrow, a faction of an ancient people descended into the deep places of the world. Then the earth itself betrayed them. Mountains split. Oceans shifted. The path back was sealed. What began as exile became existence. For centuries, they carved out a civilization beneath the stone. Endless caverns lit by fire and luminescent crystals. Cities grown from rock and metal. They dug not only to survive, but to expand and explore, outward in all directions, mapping the underworld as if it were their rightful dominion. In time, the memory of the surface faded just as the memory of their surface kin. The sun became metaphor. The sky, a half-remembered myth. Forgotten by their former overlord and hardened by their subterranean life they developed a thriving technocratic soc…
- The Hub in Fatekeeper: Haven - 2 February 2026
Much of your journey takes you far from home, into battlefields, ruins, and lands shaped by war. Still, the world is not without beauty. Forests breathe, stone remembers, and moments of quiet endure.Still, every journey needs a place to return to. Today, we want to offer a glimpse into a place that has stood for ages:Haven, home to every Sentinel of Solace for eons. This is where you arrive after long roads and harder choices. A space shaped by wood, stone, and living things, offering warmth and familiarity after time spent away. Not a refuge from the world, but a gentle counterweight to it.A place that welcomes you back. Here, life continues in small, meaningful ways. Metal is worked and tended. Herbs dry, mixtures simmer, and quiet crafts fill the air with purpose. Every corner of the hub is designed to feel lived-in, layered with detail, and grounded in the rhythms of daily survival.Yo…
- Fatekeeper – Weapons, Relics & Forgotten Arts - 24 December 2025
Before the christmas break we wanted to give you an update about weapons, loot and other things that you can discover in the world of Fatekeeper: The world of Fatekeeper is layered with the remains of those who lived, fought, and vanished long before the player arrives. Scattered across forests, ruins, and forgotten paths are fragments of daily life, like broken tools, ritual objects, weathered weapons, alongside rare ingredients and artifacts still heavy with dormant power. Weapons and items are not just loot, but echoes of old traditions. Maces, clubs, daggers, swords, rings, and relics all carry distinct character, inviting players to discover how they fit into their own path through the world.Every item can be inspected up close. Lore, subtle details, and hidden interactions may reveal more than what’s visible at first glance. Our alchemy system allows players to combine three ingred…
- Eight Minutes of Mayhem: Fatekeeper Drops First Gameplay Video - 20 November 2025
The mountains remember. High above the valleys, where the ruins of an ancient fortress crumble beneath drifting clouds, echoes of forgotten ages linger in the stone. Tread carefully. Shortlings lurk in the shadows, waiting for anyone bold enough to step into their domain, and rumor has it a warrior far more ruthless and powerful has also made camp within the ruins. After unveiling Fatekeeper during THQ Nordic's Showcase in August 2025, the development team Paraglacial, only 12 passionate people by the way, has forged ahead to reveal a deeper glimpse into the world they are crafting. Their newest showcase is an uncut eight-minute adventure that plunges players straight into the heart of the game. Expect savage, weighty combat, the first stirrings of story threads yet to be unraveled, and an early look at how exploration, gear, and discovery intertwine. The preview also sheds light on the…
- Forget Half-Life 3, the talking rat in Fatekeeper's latest trailer is the best thing you'll see this week - 19 November 2025

- Creatures of Fatekeeper - 22 October 2025
From twisted, mindless husks to disciplined soldiers, towering beasts, and wielders of arcane power - the enemy armies seem to be everywhere. But their conquest reaches further than steel and fire. The enemy’s influence seeps into the soil, twisting creatures of the wild into forms of rage and obedience.A lot of the beasts that once roamed freely now serve darker masters.Yet the world of Fatekeeper endures. Amid ruin and corruption, life persists...The following images and videos portray a selection of both enemies and beasts from concept art to final ingame models. Now that you endured all of these dangers - stay tuned for our upcoming gameplay video!
- World of Fatekeeper - 8 August 2025
In Fatekeeper, the world isn’t just a backdrop — it’s one of the main characters. From dark, tangled forests and wind-scoured mountain ridges to vast, forgotten underground cities that once teemed with life, the player will journey through a wide variety of places — each with its own tone, history, and sense of purpose. When we paint these concepts, we’re not just designing what things look like — we’re trying to capture what they feel like to walk through. What it means to arrive in a place. The silence it holds, or the weight it carries. Here’s a glimpse into that world — early visual explorations that help us find the mood and identity of each environment. We hope they give you a sense of the kind of journey you’ll be taking.

- Fatekeeper is an upcoming first-person RPG with heavy Dark Messiah vibes - 2 August 2025
I replayed the opening levels of Dark Messiah of Might & Magic back in March and it still stands up (and then kicks an orc off a wall). That school of first-person physics fantasy is a much-missed flavor of RPG, which is why it's such a treat to sit down for the trailer of Fatekeeper and realize, after the first tedious minute of exposition is out of the way, that this is a game all about shoving orcalikes off walls... - Gorgeous new fantasy game Fatekeeper is scratching the Elder Scrolls 6 itch - 2 August 2025
Spurred by Oblivion Remastered, I recently dipped back into Skyrim, and it's still Bethesda's finest thanks to its stunning world and the sense of adventure found in exploring its dungeons. However, it does feel a tad dated by modern standards gameplay wise. With little chance of seeing The Elder Scrolls 6 until at least next year at the earliest, new fantasy game Fatekeeper has caught my eye, and its brutal first-person action RPG stylings might just fill that Skyrim-shaped gap in my Steam library.
