- Steam Deck Support - 8 December 2025
Due to popular demand (or more accurately the only demand) Ferromon now runs on steam deck. It also runs alot faster! There might be a few new bugs due to the new renderer and monster display system, just let me know and I will work to fix them. Development is still a bit slow, as I am taking a creative break to work on a different project. Still, bugs are getting patched, and I will come back to full time dev eventually. ALSO!- The Holiday event is up. Collect presents in the Polar area and defeat the Grink! Happy Holidays! And thank you for playing.

- Hitch fix and other bugs - 10 September 2025
Hey all! This update fixes a hitching issue present in some spawn volumes. Gameplay should be much much smoother now. It also fixes the build button mismatch and a few other bugs related to offline play and the like. You will also notice polish here and there, its lookin better! Thanks for playing!
- Major performance boost - minor map changes. - 23 August 2025
Hey guys! This update doubles the performance of the game. You should be getting double the frames you previously were getting. I also made some changes to the map to increase frame rate and improve visibility. I will be updating the map more in the coming days. Thanks for playing!
- Engine upgrade - Ferrobook update. - 8 August 2025
Hi all! This update brings the game into a more modern engine version and sheds some of the bloat, which should lead to less or even, maybe, no more fatal errors. This update also makes some changes to the map and mainly the ferrobook, adding in silhouettes for unseen mons, a capture symbol for collected Ferromon, and publically listed evolution levels between all the listings. The game may feel a bit slower than before, unfortunately unreal engine likes un-optimizing their engine with every update, making games harder to run even when nothing is changed. I will be working to attempt to undo their handiwork in this, but until then, expect a few less frames. As always, thank you for playing!

- Bug Fix - Jaming patch. Balancing, ect. - 8 June 2025
This update fixes like, 3 pages of bugs that I really don't want to type out. Most of them had to do with UI sizing and battle functionality. Getting close to about done. Next up is making the mini-map less ugly, then I'm going to do a final continuous playthrough of it myself to identify the final balance and feel that I want.
- More Dungeons - 3 June 2025
Hey guys! Two more dungeon types are rolling out today. This brings us to around 27 dungeons (3 types, all instanced). I will be adding more in the coming days, as well as more balance and polish.
- Friday Hotfix - 30 May 2025
Just a few fixes: Fixes NPC spawning glitch Makes monsters and trainers despawn near builds Makes trainers despawn when close to another battle (to fix aggressive NPC battle crowding)
- Achievements (And Dungeons) - 29 May 2025
Hey guys! new update out today Among the usual bug fixes, this update adds 21 steam achievements. I will most likely add some fun ones later, but for now it's pretty basic milestones. This update also adds a new dungeon structure into a few places across the map. I really want to fill up the world and reward exploration, so there will be more and more points of interest and things to do in the coming weeks. Thanks for playing!
- Item tab in Ferrobook - 22 May 2025
Hey guys! This is mostly a bug fix update, but it also adds a primitive version of the Item compendium. This feature allows you to search and read up on crafting ingredients in the game and aims to eliminate confusion surrounding where to get things. It has become clear to me that the game needs more handholding, so I will be adding more of that sort of thing. As always, thank you for playing during early access!
- Quests, bugs, and Emotes - 17 May 2025
I would attempt to list the entire changelog, but honestly, I've forgotten. Here's the big stuff: Content: -Added more side quests and made it easier to continue to add content. -Added life and things to do to all current in game POIs -Added the emote system, so you can jam out with friends and have a silly time -Added /tpa to teleport to your friends and keep the experience as co-op as possible Bugs: -Fixes the audio system long-term session breakage -Fixed build dependency woes -Added /endbattle to sort out any weird battles that softlock on occasion while I work on the root cause -Fixed NPC party generation causing more complex areas to crash -Significantly increased multiplayer performance for both host and client -Stabilized controller and fixed crafting issues -Fixed low-level mons being unable to evolve with the new build system -Many, many more World: -Added a working Gondola, s…
- Translation Update! - 23 April 2025
Rolling out translations for Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish tonight. Not everything is currently translated, more and more will get done as time goes on, but it's at probably 90% right now? Update also fixes a bunch of bugs per usual, new game builds persisting, a few menu bugs, and changes around how quests work. Please be on the lookout and alert me of any bugs that occur due to the translated version. I had to change a lot of data to all conform to Unreal Engine's localization tool, so we may run into some issues, especially having to do with quests, crafting, and building. Please bear with me and submit bug reports! Thank you! Anyone who previously was playing with an epic games account during the steam auth blackout - if the update seems to clear your data or set you back, just link your steam account to your epic games account in the title screen and it sho…
- Optimization and Bug Fixes - 8 April 2025
Hey guys! Sorry I have not been doing as changelogs, as you may have noticed, the updates are nonetheless still rolling out. We are aiming to be at 1.0 release by May 12th and are making steady progress towards that goal. This update takes a lot of the bloat out and makes some serious frame improvements. It is to be noted that graphically, it won't look quite as good after this update, but I've gone from averaging 60 Frames on high settings to around 300, and since this game is meant to be extremely accessible, I have decided the sacrifice is worth it (don't worry, its honestly not even very noticeable, and future updates will smooth things over). The minimap is rough around the edges, as I replaced it with my own code for compatibility reasons, but it will improve in the coming days. This update also handles a large number of bugs, I honestly forgot which ones since it's been a while,…
- Controller Support - 10 March 2025
Hi guys! this update rolls out controller support and fixes a bunch of bugs! Let me know if you have any issues with any of the new systems or menus. Thanks for playing!!!!
- Final Building System (polish pending) - 6 February 2025
Final build system is out! Your important free build placeables will be rolled over to the new system, while free build walls and platforms will disappear in favor of the snap build system- per community vote. The new system lacks a bit of polish but is much better than anything prior. I don't foresee many functionality complaints going forward. CHANGES: New build system accessible with Q. Place all items under the snap build system. As-you-go crafting allows you to pay for builds as you build them, instead of having to go through the crafting menu Removal of radial snap build menu in favor of a far more modular and organized approach to accommodate all the new snap builds. There are some known bugs (can't close build menu with escape or q, visual menu glitching, ect) per usual these will get ironed out in near future bug fixes. Keep sending bug reports! and thank you all for playing!
- Shinys, cutscenes, and tracking improvements. - 17 January 2025
Title says it all! :) Shinys have three rarities: Red: 1 in 300 Blue: 1 in 1000 Golden: 1 in 4500 Cutscenes and story events will continue to roll out across the map as we go. This update also has various bug fixes, but I don't remember what I all fixed, so nothing to report on that end.
