- Shadow Tactics: Aiko's Choice and Kerbal Space Program are free from Epic - 5 January 2023
Shadow Tactics is such a good real-time tactics stealth strategy game that it rejuvenated the genre. There's a chance you already own the sneaky samurai sim, however, and much less of a chance that you own its standalone expansion, Aiko's Choice . It's the latter that is currently being given away for free over on the Epic Games Store. If that's not enough, wonderful slapstick spaceship builder Kerbal Space Program is free, too. Read more

- They flew a freaking Kerbal to the International Space Station - 24 May 2022
Kerbal Space Program is a simulation game, released on Steam early access in 2013, where players take charge of an embryonic space program crewed by Kerbals. These little green humanoid-y things are pretty charming, and one of the game's joys is watching these muppet-ish characters come up against the game's extremely in-depth physics system: if your skill level is anything like mine, it often doesn't go well for them... - Recreating gravity in games is harder than you'd think - 4 April 2022
Gravity is one of the simplest and most complicated things in existence. It's both as straightforward as jumping, and a source of cosmic machinations and monsters that defy the imagination. The entity holding you to the ground right now is the same principle of attraction that leads to black holes – exhausted stars that have collapsed under their own mass, growing denser and denser until, at last, they form a vortex so absolute that time deforms and not even light can escape the pull... Add to this the already overwhelming amount of games available for PlayStation Now and you’ve got a formidable cloud gaming service, though one that’s still very much reliant on the cloud in a world that doesn…

- Kerbal Space Program development has ended after ten years - 7 August 2021
Kerbal Space Program update 1.12.2 is live. It's a relatively minor set of fixes, but it marks the completion of the 1.12 update - and, in turn, the end of "sustained development" of KSP. - After more than a decade, development of Kerbal Space Program has come to an end - 6 August 2021
Kerbal Space Program studio Squad has finally brought development of its acclaimed space flight sim to a close, over a decade after the game's first public release. Kerbal Space Program - which initially launched into early access via Squad's website in 2011 - gives players the opportunity to build and pilot their own fully-functional spaceships, rockets, and vehicles (while managing all aspects their alien race's quest for the stars if they choose), using actual proper science-y systems, from realistic aerodynamic to orbital physics. Since leaving early access back in 2015, Kerbal Space Program has remained in active development, receiving numerous updates and expansions along the way - there's even a free "next-gen" update for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S due this autumn. However, Squad has now confirmed - after warning players the space flight sim's 1.12 update would be its last major rel…
