During this week (September 1-9), our crazy rollercoaster of a dating sim will be explored by reviewers, played by streamers and showcased to all you lovely lot who either haven't bought the game yet, or haven't given it a go for a while - have you found every single way to die yet? Hey everyone! Borealis here! Today's announcement is very important to me; in the months since True Colours first released, I've had a variety of lovely feedback from players. However, a theme has started to recur about the game's plot twist, and how it's been kept secret within the game's trailer and advertising. I intentionally kept this plot twist under wraps so that it would be a big surprise when you play the game. However, a few people have expressed shock in a negative way when they reached the big reveal, and after reading their comments, I can understand why. True Colours has always been advertised as a romance/horror, but the context of the horror aspect was the secret that I left you to discover upon playing. - Steam Achievements Are GO! - 21 July 2023
True Colours developer Borealis here! It's official - True Colours will officially feature Steam achievements upon release! I've worked hard to bring you a colourful array of rewards and unexpected goals to hit, so I hope you're ready to explore! While my first game - Venus: Improbable Dream - only had 17 achievements, True Colours will have a whopping 47! Some of them are big plot points, some of them will reward you with a new CG to enjoy in the gallery, and others are just plain funny - here's a small selection! - Voice Acting Is Coming To True Colours! - 24 March 2023
Get your ears ready, gamers! Borealis here with some BIG news! You read correctly - it's my absolute pleasure to announce that True Colours will officially feature voice acting! This is something that Venus: Improbable Dream didn't have. So many new features are coming to True Colours that I couldn't make happen before, and I'm so happy to be able to implement it all and share it with you! Lemme fill you in on some sweet details about the voice acting: True Colours will be partially voice acted. This means that instead of every single line being spoken as you read it, each character will have a set of words, short phrases and noises to reflect different emotions and responses, and one will play each time they speak. This is a less time-consuming but still really effective way to help those characters to feel more real, and for you to connect with them more deeply when you hear them spea…
