- Epic Voice Announcer! - 2 June 2023
This update was all about adding TONS of sound effects to every creatures attack, defense and death, including it's armor type to make every sound appear as realistic and immersive as possible. The biggest change was the addition of the EPIC voice announcer audio clips! These new voices will play whenever you defeat a creature, get a killstreak, a Wildword, or die. I also fixed a few minor bugs and updated the graphics for the emerald, sapphire, diamond, ruby and moonstone to be more diverse and artistic. What do you think about this latest update? - 10 new creatures added to the final level! - 30 April 2023
This is just 1 of 10 new enemies I added to the final map: Dream! Additional enemies include a mushroom, cactus, dog, goblin, wasp, cyclops, cobra, manta, serpent, and Wordemon! ⚡️ In the video above, you can see the speed of the Lucid Cobra 🐍 in action! The creatures in the final map are designed to be harder than all the other creatures in the game. They have more health, hit harder, and type faster. What do you think of this update? - Encrypted Save Files! - 21 April 2023
We've locked it down like a Wordemon in a bad Dream! Thanks to a Unity Asset Store asset called Easy Save 3, I was able to add locally encrypted save files and link that up to Steam Cloud saves. This prevents two big problems: 1) Cheaters who manipulate the plaintext save file to unlock infinite gold, characters or levels 2) Loss of saved files when moving to a new PC Currently not supporting cross-platform Cloud Saves until the game becomes more popular. At that point, I'll release a MAC version of the game and integrate Cloud Saves on an OS basis. Something really cool about this update is the game remembers the character you were playing last, the level you were attempting last, and the gold you had when you last played. - All difficulties implemented! - 16 April 2023
This update took me nearly 2 weeks to pull off without breaking the entire game in the process. I not only added 4 additional difficulties, but I had to also do the following: Re-scale Enemy HP and Damage for all 50 creatures Balance enemy typing speed, especially the easiest difficulty (1 letter every 10 seconds) Progression Maps for all new difficulties Even I struggle with Myrmidon mode, and I am an expert typist. - Added BONUS GOLD 💰 rewards for every victory or defeat! - 26 March 2023
The After Action Report now clearly shows your bonus gold earnings with a large "BONUS GOLD" coin at the screen's center, displaying the exact amount earned. Bonus Gold formula: Death: Word Count x Creature Count + Random (1-11) = Total Bonus Gold Success: Word Count x Creature Count + Random (24-99) = Total Bonus Gold More risk in success, but greater rewards! Spend gold on extra lives (from RIP the Reaper) or Wordslayers. The report also shows your Wildwords stats - both yours and the enemy's. Struggling to stay alive on a difficult level? No worries! RIP the Reaper is here to save the day...but at a price, of course! He simply wants 100 gold and he will revive you on the spot! Die again? No problem. Just give him another 100 gold. You have 10 seconds to decide. He's pretty impatient. He has other clients so he can't stick around too long. If you don't decide within 10 seconds, you die and save your gold for another attempt. You could also save your gold to purchase additional Wordslayers in the store. Try the free demo today! In an effort to make sure the user understands how much of the game they have left to complete, I have added Dragons and Chests to each Qwerty Quest. If you see a Dragon/Chest, that means you have not completed that Qwerty Quest yet. If the Dragon/Chest is gone, that means you have completed that Qwerty Quest. You can still replay the levels as much as you like to farm gold and gems or reach a new high score. What do you think of the dragons and the chest on the Map Selection Screen? - It's not a Qwerty Quest unless you have epic portals! - 17 March 2023
This update was all about making the entire Character Selection, Difficulty Selection, and Quest Selection screens feel frictionless, smooth, and most importantly fun. Portals really emphasize the act of traveling to an entirely new world. The gray map in the background is an overall view of the entire world. A 5th and brand new level is underway called "Alien". Be on the lookout for that in the next major update...

- Revamped Map Selection Screen - 9 March 2023

The goal is to collect the four gems (Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby and Diamond) from the four Wordragons. This will break the Curse of Silence that was placed on the Kingdom of Knowledge. This new dragon and animation are in the Abyss level as the final boss for that level. Lava Wordragons always drop 1 Ruby which can be used in the store to purchase additional Wordslayers.

Similar to how characters are selected on the Wordslayer Store screen, you can also type the word "Rip" and it will allow you to purchase extra lives for 1000 gold each. Maximum of 3 lives per game.
